laying staking

Afternoon all am trying a new method of pricing up football matches and was wondering peoples preference on staking when laying. My selections at a very early stage have ranged between 1.25 and 3.00. Do you prefer to lay to equal profit per selection or equal liability. Many thanks for any input.
