Chelsea being over rated ?

They thrashed Schalke.....and CL games do take their toll on top teams especially after a CL game, and SUNDERLAND game probably one such game.

Probably viewed MARIBOR game as less important than beating LIVERPOOL away and beating
SCHALKE away.

They won other matches ......so MOURINHO gets his team to do enough to keep them top of PL and top of CL Group.

JUVENTUS were masters at just doing enough to win games....and CHELSEA appear to be becoming masters of the narrow wins in minor games.....but they won games when it mattered t them.

DFC, only over rated in the sense that people
are backing them at silly prices not to lose
a single game in 25 meetings. They are a very
good side, no doubt about that, but not that good,
2/9 seems a price to lay for the P/League.

Premier league is poor at the moment. No really good side.

Newcastle conserved energy for this match......and are a JINX team for CHELSEA !

CHELSEA used up a lot of energy winning game v SPURS in mid-week......and wwith a game v PORTUGUESE opponents looming up in CL, then MOURINHO probably set out team today not to lose.

They really should have won game with numerous chances ....and NEWCASTLE 2nd goal was a typical break-away goal that can happen ....and did today!

They are still top of CL Group and PL......so if they are over rated, what does that say about all teams beneath them in both comps?

MAN CITY are probably more over rated based on their performances SO FAR in both comps.....

I've told you. English teams aren't very good. Newcastle will be frightened to death if they draw Gateshead.

CL games are usually priority matches due to money involved in that competition. So teams involved in CL can be vulnerable BOTH before CL games and after.

This opinion has been expressed BEFORE by me on numerous occasions. It is only an opinion, just like your suggestion that CHELSEA are over rated!

Your post above is your interpretation of my post......stating my opinion was based on the result v NEWCASTLE. It has been posted umpteen times re my view that top teams can be vulnerable both before and after CL games.

You are sticking to your view that CHELSEA are over rated.....an opinion based on what? It is a FACT that CHELSEA are top of their Group in CL and top of PL. Those two facts tend to indicate CHELSEA are a strong team capable of going far in CL and with fair chance of winning PL.

My opinion is that your opinion is pretty meaningless.......I gave my view BEFORE SPURS game that CHELSEA were likely to beat them......and they did. You never gave any opinion on that game PRIOR TO GAME on this thread. I never posted my opinion on NEWCASTLE game PRIOR to match ......as I had better things to do with my time.

I believed CHELSEA were vulnerable in this game .....and they were .....This indicates my opinion posted after game was in line with my view prior to KO.

A loss to NEWCASTLE ....that is this RESULT .......does not make your opinion on CHELSEA being over rated a FACT.

As you never stated on this thread that CHELSEA would not win against NEWCASTLE prior to that match.........your post stating "Try giving opinions before the kick off" is hypocritical......in my opinion !

ie behaving in a way that suggests one has higher standards or more noble beliefs than is the case. You just appear to be sanctimonious with a holier-than-thou post implying you are superior, and makes your post hollow .

I suspect CHELSEA will win the PL......but their fixture list will likely stop them winning the CL. Injuries to COSTA or/and DROGBA are likely with number of games looming up.

AS you have expressed NO OPINION on CHELSEA winning PL or CL........other than an ill supported opinion that they are over rated......WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON CHELSEA WINNING COMPETITIONS THIS SEASON?

I said they were over rated, suggesting they
were a lay at 2/9, for the Premier League, before
they lost to Newcastle, you gave the reasons why
they lost to Newcastle after it happened. Will they
win the Premiere league? probably but not as  certain
