Not FOBT's i'm talking about the machines that you can place sports bets on. Does anyone have any information regarding these such as;
*who the supplier/manufacturer is?
*Who supplies the odds?

Thanks

I can confirm they are Austrian.  The odds are generally pants and are entirely computer generated in a similar fashion to other minor European sportsbooks.  The prices will be most similar to youwin bwin and vcbet but with fatter profit margins.

SHAPESHIFTER is wrong.  The odds bear little resemblance to the bookie you are in, other than all odds from all bookies are naturally closely correlated.  They are independent to the shops, generally offer worse prices and less variety.

Yes, from what I am told they are independent from the bookies and also that the same terminals are used in different bookies. I'd like to know who the Austrian third party odds provider is? You can put this on a PM if you wish.

Okay....we'll try again.

When I used it, it was the first week my local laddies had it (around 3 months ago).

I had placed a bet at the counter and the manager gave me a free bet (around 20% of what I had spent) to 'try the machine'.

I split it on two bets - a tennis match and a NHL game / states hedging bets I already had.  I also put a small amount on a football acca but didn't really check the odds.

I went in a week later and was surfing it and checked the odds at the counter for a Tennis match and it was the same but did the bet at the counter anyways.

That said, it was the first two weeks they had the machine and perhaps the odds were the same for, well, introduction purposes so that punters who did check them out would assume in the future odds were the same.

That said, I am going in today so will note some matches and ask.

Also, if anyone has placed a counter bet on a sport, post them here and I'll compare and post later.

Nice bit of innovation having the self service terminals but I'm not too keen about mingling with the tramps that frequent these shops. Some of the staff in the shops are just the same.

They should put the terminals outside so it doesn't smell as bad.

It's the same terminals in all the different bookies. Coral, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Paddy Power, Betfred and Jenningsbet all have them.

The odds are fairly mediocre so nothing to get too excited about but I suppose the good thing is you can get bets on without having to go through the nightmare of useless traders at these so called bookmakers turning your bets down.

After some in depth research, I have gathered that the terminals are supplied by an Austrian company called BGT. Sadly BGT do not rely on one company for the odds published but use a variety of industry services. The odds are constantly updated.

The terminals are ideal for someone like Landprofits. There's a strong rumour on the internet that he likes to bet in pennies at Pinnacle. These terminals will be more useful for him.

Perhaps e-cigarette dispensers would be a better use of space....

these terminals are a positive step forward, except that he odds are nearly always lower than the bookies.
