On several forums, I read about punters having problems withdrawing funds from other firms.

My question to everyone:

If you have £300 in an account and there are delays in their payouts (ie Bet Butler) but are still taking bets, why are you not BACKING with them and LAYING on betfair to move the money across?

You can argue commission, etc, but a lot of agro can be saved.

I think the money typically leaves your "available balance" so you cant actually bet with it

Ahhhhhh, thus a scam and they are waiting for enough active losers to pay out.

it does indeed leave you active balance wether this can be withdrawn or not im not sure.

Now in theory the back and lay works if your selection doesnt win. If it unfortunately does win you are even further in the shyte..

The old "dodgy account balance Martingale". What do you do if you keep winning with the dodgy bookie? Wait for the amount to be so large that it's worth suing them?

Not difficult to find a losing bet in an event that can be traded to take care of the commission.

If you are ever in this situation, let me know and I'll post you a loser Cool

Not really sure what you are saying Shapeshifter or whether i agree with you.

There are always bets that look like you can't lose. If i was trying to do this i'm sure I would have used the Man C v Sunderland game on the assumption that Man C couldn't do anything other than win this game.

Alternatively you may be talking about a really long shot that you just can't see coming in that's at about 150. But if you back that for 300 on your other site you'll need about 45000 in your account to lay it on here which could prove difficult.

Finally if there is a bet that you "know" will just win, then why bother posting the losing bet on the other website.

In order to trade across there has to be an element of not knowing what outcome will occur and if you don't know there is always a chance it will go t1ts up and your other account could grow significantly.
