Generalization doesn't support the approach.
If you price up a tennis player at 1.70 and you are able to back at 1.60, lay at 1.62, then the options are (a) no bet / look for value in the match elsewhere (UO games, set betting) (b) lay (c) 'take the price anyways' (d) take a punt on the overprice opponent. As long as there people that take (c), then there is value in laying. Personally view: try to stick to the options in (a). |
