I appear to have stumbled across a steady supply of winners but prices are only ever 1.2 - 1.8, tops.

Any suggestions on the best way for me to back these selections?

I tried using a "steady drip" type system using only "A" stakes but losing 10% of bank is tough when winning selection are only at such short odds

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

There are only 3 worthwhile staking strategies: level stakes, fixed profit or Kelly staking. Joseph Buchdahl's book called Fixed Odds Sports Betting is worthwhile read that explains.

At prices between 1.2 and 1.8 I'm not surprised you have 'a steady stream'
of winners, but the important thing is do they show a profit to level stakes?
Without that you have nothing.

Many thanks Pies.

Been doing this since 2002, Kenilworth. Wouldn't waste my time or anybody else if they wernae showing profit to level stakes

Cheers guys

You've been making it pay for 12 years, with level stake
profits and you want some advice from others, who are
more than likely to be losers overall, is that right?
I think you are winding us up, especially as it has taken
you 12 years to post on here.!!Something doesn't seem right.

also 10% is far too high a portion of any bank to be staking

Betting any percentage of a bank will
always be a loser as the higher stake
is always on a loser.

Your point has nothing to do with the point I was making

Where did i say I've been making it pay for 12 years?

I've seen incredible highs and horrible lows in that time. Took me a long time and a lot of honesty to realise that my own selections are never going to make consistent profits in the long term.

By chance, I've come across what appears to me to be consistent (90%ish) winning selections, albeit at short prices, and wondered if by adjusting my stakes i might produce better results

if your getting it right 90% of the time, even backing at 1.2 you would turn a nice profit, why would you want to do anything other than level stakes?
