The Tatts tote is the tote that pays money back for SO SO many horses.
You risk your money for nothing (a no bet) on this poor tote product.
Best not to use this tote if placing a decent sized bet.
A sad state of affairs.

Tote betting is a massive rip-off generally. The place tote is the worst of all. They not only get you by the balls with the exhorbitant house percentage, but then there's the fractions rip-off as well.
There is only one good thing to be said about totes. They don't ban winners. The only catch with that is that it's damn near impossible to be a long term winner on the tote anyway.
The thing that sh1ts me the most about tote betting is the way your price changes after you've made your bet. You think a horse should be a $4 chance and it's showing $6.5 You think "wow, what a great over !" So you put your money on and then the price comes in and the bloody thing starts at $2.8 Happens all the bloody time.
Even if they dropped the take out to something more reasonable ... let's say 10% ... and started paying out the EXACT dividend instead of rounding it DOWN to nearest 10 cents, it would still be a rip-off because of the change in the prices.
