It appears that publishing the stats on Exchange Uptime has been considered surplus to requirements.

Which is a shame, but unsurprising, given that the target surely has not been hit.

It did also occur to me that it could have been a nice little earner in it to.

Betfair could offer in play insurance against the site going down with a premium on the bet based on a multiple of the probability of their site performance target.

i.e. the exchange uptime target was 99.9%.

now if you could offer the customer the option of a 0.4% premium on every bet they struck, with the guarantee that the stake would be refunded in the event that the site went down during the event

i'm sure plenty would think about taking that.

The only thing not getting scrapped is the thing there's a 1200 post thread asking them to scrap.

Disclosure is more problematic for listed companies. they cannot be seen to inform some , before others to avoid insider trading.
So they cannot inform the forum of problems without at the same time informing the city, and that would affect the  share price !!

So break your promises and keep everyone in the dark.
BF really need to sort their PR out.  This sort of thing just engenders (more) distrust.

Apologies for the delay. I'm advised that this is something we no longer have in place and was stopped around two months ago.
