Speaking of Aussie Soccer .... and my thought that there was always a lack of goals .... I placed a smallish bet on unders in the MV vs WS game currently running .... in the hope to trade out and make £10 or so .... but I look away only to see a goal already gone in ......you think they are actually trying to win ...
I do like someone's thoughts on the footy forum .... bet exactly the opposite to what you originally plan to bet on .... I must admit I sometimes (especially in the horse racing) get a sense of something is not right with the proposed betting I am just about to place ....

thats a good strategy, back against the general consensus...you can do it at little risk, for example lay -6.5 goals at 1.01, and if theres an early goal it will be 1.08, if two goals it will be 1.15 etc. the downside is workable
Yeh it's funny how because of the ability to bet on either-side of markets one initial view can perhaps create a more robust strategy when coming from the opposite side .... one change I have been doing is to do more back to lays in the horse racing ... rather than simply laying.
in horse racing study the form and as an example, find a horse you really dont fancy at all, but a horse that traditionally sets a blistering pace...lay the horse pre race in the hope of greening up before the off...if you have to go in play, then you should be able to trade out within seconds of the beast hitting the front as usual
... or simply back it first and lay it when it goes to the front .... many ways to play

Wow what a tough day of betting .... ****g idiot (that is me by the way) stake double the amount on a bot selection thinking it would be easy money (not) and then proceeded to dump some more (using my mobile app .... bit silly) .... saved later on by my lay of Everton (when 2-1 up) but then proceeded to dump some more on the greyhound TV races only to then bring it back to a reasonable level playing on some of the late night football matches .... what a lovely life I lead

Today has been a lovely day ... set the bot up with horse selections and in the main hung with friends most of the day .... nice lunch as well. Traded nicely on the under 4.5 goals in the Chelsea game while I even picked the winner in the WTA tennis final (even was able to bet sensibly in it as well .... )

Lovely dovely .... traded Bussa inrunning to increase the profit from pre-start £25 to a very nice £75 profit .... ie: layed it ir at 2.7 and greened up a bit at 7's

Challenge Summary:
It has been a nice profitable day so thought I'd summarise early .... did a solid range of laying to back, back to laying inrunning and everything seemed to go my way which is always a nice feeling.
Especially after hitting an end of the mini-challenge (last bet was a loss of around £215) this morning and therefore finding my main challenge bank down from yesterday's close .... it can be hard to refocus .... and I must admit the first thing I did was bet perhaps too much on something I shouldn't have .....
I tend to be a bit up and down with my staking - although I have certain amounts that I like to win per bet (£12.50 and £25 are currently normal ones for Horse/Greyhounds) I tend feel more at ease varying it based on the odds, how much they have moved, inrunning thoughts, greening up and to simply down-right I am going to bet this amount no matter what .... I am not sure whether I could ever stick to a fixed stake/win bet but as long as I have some staking parameters that I work with in my head I am happy enough with that ... eg: bot has certain %amount to lay to however I did do some greening up ir which I don't normally do ....
With a nice run over the week I am desperate not to go backwards (I have certainly done that a few times in the past) so hopefully a calm controlled mind will keep me moving forwards .....

Challenge Summary:
Well it would have been an impressive day if it wasn't for last nights throwing money away .... let me explain. Reached a nice challenge bank high of bit over £2K .... went out for the evening only to come back and make some "easy" money. With the bank up to £2200 I am thinking yep this is going good ....
... well that is where I lost and won and lost and then lost some more (mainly football very late last night) .... so effectively I was down to I think around the £1650 mark. Today was spent trying to build that back up .... bot lays went very well while some of the larger profits was done through trading of some of the maiden/NH short priced favourites. with these rather than aim for a £12.50 or £25 win I lay them using a liability of around £100 to £150 and look to green up ir. Hey I even traded to win £1 on the Tomas Berdych tennis match
Hit home very quickly how a loss here and a loss there can quickly dent the bank especially when one is tired. So I am very pleased with todays betting but disappointed I looked too far ahead late last night when I thought I was invincible ....

Well it would have been an impressive day if it wasn't for last nights throwing money away .... let me explain. Reached a nice challenge bank high of bit over £2K .... went out for the evening only to come back and make some "easy" money. With the bank up to £2200 I am thinking yep this is going good ....
... well that is where I lost and won and lost and then lost some more (mainly football very late last night) .... so effectively I was down to I think around the £1650 mark. Today was spent trying to build that back up .... bot lays went very well while some of the larger profits was done through trading of some of the maiden/NH short priced favourites. with these rather than aim for a £12.50 or £25 win I lay them using a liability of around £100 to £150 and look to green up ir. Hey I even traded to win £1 on the Tomas Berdych tennis match
Hit home very quickly how a loss here and a loss there can quickly dent the bank especially when one is tired. So I am very pleased with todays betting but disappointed I looked too far ahead late last night when I thought I was invincible ....

Challenge Summary:
Well it all started when I discovered tennis ... well namely Stosur which lost me a fair bit ....had a nice run on the horse racing but always felt like I was betting too heavily in order to claw back the tennis loss .. some nice wins mainly trades on the fav ... late tonight forgot but then remembered how many times Favs lose in the televised greyhound races and then thought I'd try one last bet in the Cilic tennis match just gone to claw get the balance in a "nice-ish" position or if it lost simply continue with what have been a bank of £1.75K .... fortunately he won (just) ..... which allowed me to finish the day with a small loss. Also lucky to get out of my bet on Schiavone in the tennis ... matched at 1.10 to cover my original bet but sadly she went on to lose.

Challenge Summary:
Mmmm ... yep having had a nice start to this challenge I then decide to have a 'brain freeze' with the end result I totally wrecked the good work I had done over the last week.
As I mentioned above I was literally down to the last £150 but with some nice bets and a bit of luck I was able to pull it back to a more respectable £789 (or so) come this morning. I then played some more in the Aussie markets this morning .... won a little lost another larger bet so then thought stuff this - I layed a heavy greyhound fav (it was I think around 1.5 on the Aussie tote and around 1.8 on here) which would mean I either drop down to a round £500 (you see I like round numbers ) or get back into a nice position to start the day .... yep luck was on my side and after a few more sensible bets I am back in the game (just) ....

Mmmmm ... realising that I need to spend less time on here and perhaps come up with some sensible "system" - hate the word - selections to simply pop into the bot (leave some parameters to work with ) .... and let it get on with it ...
Being doing some test ones .... win some nice wins but lose others (like you do) .... then frustrated by the lack of progress thought I'd lay a horse which ****g well puts me back below the SB level ... so then do a bit of chasing .... yep nice lay of the fav in the 4.20pm race (which just lost by a nose) and now back in the game .... ah the life of "not so" professional gambler
