I just found it a little convenient that after you make a few requests to stop posting on your thread, he still posts, then he gets banned. Me suspects you have been sitting clicking the report button repeatedly undern  Not saying he shouldn't be banned, just saying that maybe people also shouldn't be such mardy-arsed cry babies on here, running to report anyone that says anything they don't like. Perhaps his 30+ previous usernames (banned each time for being abusive to other forum users) .... was the reason. If you think being called a 'wh0re' and 'slut' is acceptable behaviour then we differ in that opinion. For someone that has posted rarely over the 6 1/2yrs that he has been on this forum - you seem awfully keen to communicate your thoughts  My challenge threads are for me alone. I am no bother to anyone else nor do I feel I wreck this forum. I couldn't care less if literally noone posted on my thread. I am sure you won't be able to resist .... good luck with your betting. |

What challenge number is this? And how many have started with "must maintain discipline/control this time"?
Only for one day soon after the challenge has started you lose all discipline, unsurprisingly this is usually a losing day for you. I think LordBobbbin wrote on one of your (many) challenges something like: "good bets can result in losses, bad bets can result in wins." It is/was a very sensible piece of advice. You're judging bad days as loss of discipline, and good days as being under control (showing good discipline), but I can't see it control in either your winning or losing days, judging by your bets, some show you are chasing even on winning days (no discipline). Credit for putting your challenges in an open forum, I've followed a few of them, and think your lack of discipline has helped my discipline, but I do find it surprising how you prefer not to see comments unless its all "well done," I think Bobbbins comment is worth remembering. Finally, if you really don't like any comments, then why don't you jot it all down in an excel spreadsheet/word doc, for your eyes only? Good luck. |

Equally I am fully aware of what I do well and not so well in terms of betting, staking, money management and the like ..... as Lord Bobbbin knows (as he used to be around in the early challenges) I simply like to do these challenges my own way (irrespective of whether I succeed or fail) .... he respects that and therefore doesn't feel the need to come on here like MadDogs has done recently calling me a 'wh0re' and 'slut' ..... Perhaps I could recommend that if anyone doesn't like this thread then simply don't read it ....now there is a thought ....As for number of challenges ... not sure how many ... but from the stats Angry Monkey collected a few weeks back (he put it on a thread) I am probably just now breaking even in them. The best one was when I got to £10K with a starting bank of £2.5K .... Like I keep saying .... why should a thread like this offend anyone. There is no need to post to it or even follow for that matter if they feel it is wasting there time. |

Speaking of Aussie Soccer .... and my thought that there was always a lack of goals .... I placed a smallish bet on unders in the MV vs WS game currently running .... in the hope to trade out and make £10 or so .... but I look away only to see a goal already gone in ......you think they are actually trying to win
...I do like someone's thoughts on the footy forum .... bet exactly the opposite to what you originally plan to bet on .... I must admit I sometimes (especially in the horse racing) get a sense of something is not right with the proposed betting I am just about to place .... |

thats a good strategy, back against the general consensus...you can do it at little risk, for example lay -6.5 goals at 1.01, and if theres an early goal it will be 1.08, if two goals it will be 1.15 etc. the downside is workable

Yeh it's funny how because of the ability to bet on either-side of markets one initial view can perhaps create a more robust strategy when coming from the opposite side .... one change I have been doing is to do more back to lays in the horse racing ... rather than simply laying.

in horse racing study the form and as an example, find a horse you really dont fancy at all, but a horse that traditionally sets a blistering pace...lay the horse pre race in the hope of greening up before the off...if you have to go in play, then you should be able to trade out within seconds of the beast hitting the front as usual

Wow what a tough day of betting .... ****g idiot (that is me by the way) stake double the amount on a bot selection thinking it would be easy money (not) and then proceeded to dump some more (using my mobile app .... bit silly) .... saved later on by my lay of Everton (when 2-1 up) but then proceeded to dump some more on the greyhound TV races only to then bring it back to a reasonable level playing on some of the late night football matches .... what a lovely life I lead
In any case the challenge bank ends the day on £1235 .... will update thread with full p&l summary etc etc either tomorrow or if I am too busy perhaps Monday morning. |

Today has been a lovely day ... set the bot up with horse selections and in the main hung with friends most of the day .... nice lunch as well. Traded nicely on the under 4.5 goals in the Chelsea game while I even picked the winner in the WTA tennis final (even was able to bet sensibly in it as well
