I feel so sick it is unbelievable - ear ache, sore throat and throbbing head ache .... what I am doing being a mug punter in the eyes of everyone else ... but still I will carry on .... but definitely another explosion like the last challenge (remember I started with £3K and finished with £3K so not all bad) I will call it quits on here ....
By:

When: 20 Dec 12 10:04
I have also decided to reduce the bank down to a starting bank of £1K .... apart from there being no need to tie up £3K in the account .... it might force me into improving my money management and bet selection ... so for this one ....

It is the £1K to £100K challenge .... just got to stop betting on anything and everything.

Why do you start the Challenge's again and again on the forum?  Is it backslapping on an internet forum that you are really looking for?
By:
undern
When: 20 Dec 12 11:27
Posted this up on last challenge ....

Some ask me why I start another challenge (having stopped/closed many of the past ones early) ... simply answer being having hit a bank of over £5K ... and then come plummeting back down to the SB of £3K .... it is a bit (lets just say extremely) hard to refocus on the challenge without trying to get back to the previous mark too quickly ..... where as starting afresh almost releases that sensation .... some would understand while others wouldn't ....

Definitely not interested in backslapping ... I do it because I think it is the best thing for me nothing more nothing less ...

How is starting a new challenge every month on a forum good for you apart from massaging your ego?
By:

When: 20 Dec 12 11:44
Dlarssonf - I have already explained above and like I have mentioned some would understand and others wouldn't  ...

As for massaging my ego .... sorry but I don't need my ego massaged. Why do you care anyway ...

That's not an explanation?  That is an explanation as to why you keep re starting.  I have asked you why you need to continually put them on the forum.  And If you put them on a public forum expect to get responses/questions etc. Groundhog day

I simply don't have the patience, control and ability to accept the swings of betting as well as professionals such as yourself .... I wish I did but hey I don't

But equally I am betting on here allowing you and others to take money off me so if I want to start another challenge thread (because I feel releases the need to chase back too quickly) then I do not understand someone like you concerned about someone who puts money up in the BF markets for you and others to take money off ....

That is something I do not understand ... but I don't continually ask why ....

I would suggest you concentrate on your betting and leave me to get on with my betting ....

This is where I get frustrated ... I do some betting as and when but also specific selections based on certain criteria and odds range ... typcial the one coming up in 3.10pm All for Cash ... but is now too low to lay (ie: ouside the odds range for that type of race) .... damn so do you lay something or else or simply let it go ... frustrating

Hi Undern. I know people have said before that you are addicted to gambling and that you state that you are not and you have a very fulfilling life etc. I have to agree that you are not addicted to gambling, but I think you might be addicted to challenges.

You know you shouldn't keep doing them but you just can't help yourself. You even tell yourself that you are not going to do any more, that's why you have titles like "my last ever challenge", and "this really is my last ever challenge", and "look i promise you, this really is my last challenge this is it, no more after this one honest..", but you just can't help coming back for another challenge. Go admit it, it's the first step you know.

By the way have you ever considered setting smaller challenges, like £3k to £5k. At least you have a better chance of hitting them and giving you that successful high, or is it "the going for the big one" that really turns you on.

Good luck. Do you think that if you did ever succeed it would cure you or do you think that you would then try to do an even bigger one.

Interesting post U.A. ... perhaps the £100K target is simply too far away and perhaps smaller challenges would be more appropriate ... saying that if I ever did complete the big one then definitely wouldn't do any more .... well okay perhaps smaller daily challenges Laugh

Sorry disappoint you MadDogs but no I simply post up the P&L .. no need to be creative like I am sure some do ....

Simply my view was that starting at £3K and getting up to £5K felt as if I had made the full £5K creating a false position (for me anyway) in terms of how much to bet etc .... so to get around that thought I'd start at a lower amount (but still enough to get going reasonably well) ......

.... if you would prefer I would be be happy to put it back up to £3K start for you or how about £5K .... I am fine with that .... just let me have your permission.

I do think it is quite amazing some of the comments that people post up on here .... I hope I have explained myself clearly with my decision to reduce the SB from £3K to £1K but if not tough Laugh ....

Your challenge is going great guns .... I am sure there is no selective editing from you but then again each update you do is every 7 weeks so I am sure you can sort something out by then ...Wink

you are only kidding yourself, i understand the mentality you have and the reasoning of having a new bank of £1k to rid any wishes to quickly get back up to the 5k mark but it doesnt matter as if you go on a good run you will lose discipline anyways and will do what you always do and p1ss it away again after that good run stops or you'll go on a poor run from the off and the 1k will be the new 5k target and you'll take more risks trying to get back up to 1k again and you'll end up p1ssing it away, you dont seem to be a bad person just a bit of a n0b at times and incredibly naive

good luck anyways

The bot the bot the bot. You are so addicted you want bots gambling so you dont miss a race. How does the bot take in to account market moves or the possibility you read the form wrong? If you layed your five strongest selections every day you would make plenty. Instead...............its this ......over and over and over.

Plenty of people use Bots ... to automate some of their betting. Sorry but I don't see anything wrong with that. The bot has two greyhound and three horse selections .... is that okay with you Irish_Celtic Confused ...

I personally use Betsender (although doesn't have ir) ... because you can set lower and upper limits for the odds which is what I look at ... as well it reduces the chance of being caught with a positive market move for any selection ....

Challenge Summary:

Remember it is now the £1K to £100K challenge

Despite being out most of the day and night ... and the earlier comment about my friendly BOT not being able to lay a few selections I had set up on it .... I still was able to come out with a nice little profit.

Mainly thanks to a very nice cricket win ... I was greening up on the footy game when the next goal came in and so a loss ... but then lumped heavily (but happy with the reasoning) on the Aussie T20 match .... for all you cricket experts I basically bet based on a few factors: the run rate required was around 13.5 per over, Malinga still had a few overs left, Warne was doing some running commentary whilst bowling (and I am sure he would be going out of his way not to look a fool with his bowling) and that the ground was quite large ..... yep the mind of an amateur cricket gambler Laugh

Mmmm so who is the naive one .... you can tell Dlarssonf and yourself are completely naive when again I need to spell it out very clearly ..... here goes again.

I use my money to bet in different markets on Betfair ....
Betfair is an exchange where people are trying to take money from one another ...
If I lose .... someone wins (wow it could even be you Confused ) .....

Do you really want people like me (who made lots of money on GEO shares years ago) and now has a very nice self-run business (I own it not Mummy and Daddy Wink ), a comfortable existence and time on my hands to spend a bit of MY money ..... to stop putting money into Betfair for you and the like to try and win off me Confused

I will let you think about it for a little while ....

I may not be the best "gambler" around but naive nah ....

Now the argument from many is that it is an open forum etc etc .... therefore you can post anything which I agree with entirely.

However I am amazed that people post up comments effectively trying to reduce what I play in markets where they are trying to win money from me ....

I am more than happy for people to post up "negative" or comments relating to how **** I am at these challenges and betting in general Laugh ..... but I am amazed that people actually do given I put money into some of the markets that are actually trying to profit from ...

Sorry Irish but I am not nasty at all .... nor crazy for that matter. Rather than say Bot this and Bot that assuming I had 50 bets running ... perhaps a more considered way would be simply say Hey Undern ... pick your 5 best bets each day and you will win loads.

Dlarssonf - forum approval for what Confused ... I don't need approval to do these challenges, do the bets I do nor spend MY money the way I wish to spend it ... I would be more than happy for literally noone to post anything on here either good or bad .... so sorry but no forum approval required.

.... I simply don't understand why people who are trying to win money off me keep coming on here telling me how **** I am at betting, how I chase sometimes too much, I bet too much and to stop doing these challenges ..... I fail to understand that part Plain
