since betfair,s cross matching bot became active on the ir horses markets, will you now get poor value when clicking 1.01 back button from the bot or do you still get matched at the best available price at the time of the bet ?

Please see below all the information we have in regards to cross matching. I have also included a youtube video as a visual reference.
"Notwithstanding any statement to the contrary in these Specific Conditions or in the General Conditions, we may elect, in certain very limited circumstances, to nominate one or more of our affiliate or joint venture companies to act as counterparty in respect of bets or offers for bets. If we do so, we will take reasonable steps to bring this to your attention. In addition to the usual bet matching process, many markets on Betfair use a process called cross-selection matching (“cross-matching”) to match bets. When a bet request cannot be matched by an opposing bet on the same selection, cross-matching will attempt to match the bet request with unmatched liquidity on the remaining selections in the market. Betfair General Betting Limited (a company within the Betfair group) is licensed and has been nominated by Betfair to act as counterparty to bets so as to enable cross matching to occur."

So best execution, unless it's cross matched, in which case BF lay off to zero liability leaving free bets galore for them to skim out of the exchange.
The other exchange can cross match to best execution, so I don't see why this one can't.

ofcourse they will match backer against backer who wouldnt, to them its 2 possible win bets with no risk, both backers lose and their money is trousered by the city crew.
