Can I stake any amount less than 2 units on multiples such that my gain is over 2 units. For example, can I bet .3 units on a 10 multiple?

if you mean on Betfair, 8 selections is max number and you can bet any amount on multiple stake, so long as total stake is £2
you can even do .01
you can even do .01
depends which multiples - old multiples are £2 min total stake, new ones are (from memory) min 10p per line.
