( posted this on horse racing as well ) been a tiny shareholder amongst 100's of others and enjoyed the days out and the stable visits, have a chance for about 1k for 25% of a horse already syndicated but would rather start my own So was wondering if anyone close to Leeds would like to be part of a small (6 at most) syndicate with a local trainer, because they are financially more viable , not expecting to win anything but would like to own a share and have a bit of input into a horse visit and see it running locally. Been looking around and for a spend about 1k each to purchase horse plus training /normal vets/shoeing /worming/ schooling it costs between £800 to £1200 per month to be shared amongst us and we can get a horse with 4 legs obviously if there is enough interest we would put all the financial arrangements on a proper basis if you are interested add your email or something as contact cheers dave
You need to act quickly as sales time is hitting us now very quickly.
Whereabouts in Leeds are you from? This idea has been mooted by a few people in the upper Headingley area that I know recently - I have 5 of my own, but would be willing to put you in touch if they ever manage to get something sorted.

Jo Foster near Leeds, and no we don't expect miracles but part of the excitement is that it could be good, bad or just plain average, that's if we go with that one, the fees are to be plus Wetherbys costs and travelling, but include the racing food and average vets charges, shoeing, worming gallops etc,and when not in full training drop down to a very small amount, the gelding looks magnificent and trots up as straight as a dye, were off to Clive Mulhalls tomorrow to see what he has to offer, its not something we are going to rush into, have to be as careful as poss

Good luck with your search goodyd. Have you considered Middleham? (there's no finer place on earth than watching work on Low Moor on a Spring morning) A mate of mine has had a couple in training with Kate Walton and speaks very highly of her, might be worth bearing in mind. ps hope Cive Mullhall is well, coincidentally I was at school with him many moons ago. Cheers.

just missed one of Clive's, he rang me about it, unraced bumper horse running upsides one on the gallops that finished third behind a Brendan Powell horse the other day, I stalled and when I thought about it more and contacted the other guys it was too late....lol would have cost about £600 each to buy with 6 in the syndicate and between £125 and £175 a month
