Which company, for how much, were they a group well known to the industry?

I witnessed this once in the WH in Cricklewood. Organized mayhem at the counter. Extra twist was the man yelling "come on 6!" to signal the guy with the cash which dog was winning (they also chose a sprint race).
The guy picked up the cash and dashed. Counter staff said they had been coming in for three weeks placing small bets, getting familiar/friendly with staff. It was their first big bet. |

Huge problem these last few months. The groups who commit these acts are starting to work together too, so someone we might recognise from one team is popping up in another. They are incredibly good at what they do, getting staff onside, being particulary nice, and often placing several 'honest' bets. I am sympathetic to those caught out, but it is simple really, no money, no bet. Never trust a stranger or someone who immediately starts using your first name. Attempts to separate staff by distraction methods is another clear sign of impending doom. Lastly, these guys are predomiantly white, so my advice is always, white stranger equals danger!
