Betfair have posted a notice about Betfair from Virgin. See other forums. Currently down for certain IPs.
Virgin Media Issues

Customers who use Virgin Media as their internet provider will unfortunately be experiencing intermittent problems whilst trying to access Betfair. Our technical team are currently speaking to Virgin and we hope to have this third party issue resolved shortly.
Betfair would like to apologise for the inconvenience this is causing our customers.
