...just using the ladder interface of their trading application? Preferably odds-on...I would like to get into this, if it`s profitable, following the flow of money (as i have the impression, many horses do get turned over odds-on, and I don`t have access to fast pics as I live abroad)...would you share any pointers? thanks in advance...

There was a thread on this some time ago, and as I remember it definetly suggested laying all odds on in running at all tracks wasn't successful.

Though there was some suggestions some tracks might be profitable you'd have to do your own research on this to find out which ones.

Hi v.c.
search youtube for "In-Running With A Tenner"
The two videos showing blind in-run trading with very low stakes.
Report TheVis • September 28, 2012 5:30 PM BST
You are virtually guaranteed NOT to make a profit laying horses blind at any odds.

The in-running market is very efficient in the long-run.  The fast pic boys and sophisticated bot boys are the ones winning.

What about the tick offset boys?
Report TheVis • September 29, 2012 2:02 PM BST
I would doubt a simple tick-offset would win long-term in-running.  Must be plenty of times your initial lay is matched for the price never to recover to match your offset bet.......but then that is only an assumption.

No way can you do this manually! The market moves so fast, in either direction, that by the time something
has registered, and you have done the calcs, and submitted and waited for the delay, your bet position is history!

Holt ?

Nope - Lex

try it - at the very least your liability is less than SP, and mostly at least one layed selection loses.
Report sweetchildofmine • October 18, 2012 9:50 PM BST
yeah but you would only hedge out your lay if its significantly higher in running than you backed it at, and if thats the case why wouldnt you let the lay run?
Report TheVis • October 19, 2012 6:36 AM BST
"and mostly at least one layed selection loses"

I hope to get 100% strike rate on at least one of the lays losing (assuming no dead heats)

I'm sure all the I/R robots do not require the edge of quicker pics to "make it pay".
