coming to greece for vacation?

There should be no problems in greece until 1st Januari 2013.
After this date most online bookies will be declared ILLEGAL (except PaddyPower), as there is very few that have accepted the new 30% tax on their winnings.
There will be a 10% tax on every winning bet as well!!! Greek pro punters are screwd!
MAD SCENES!

What makes you think that the law will come into force after the end of this year?
Report Mental September 27, 2012 7:48 PM BST

The law has already been passed.
Some bookies have already withrdrawn from the greek market (for exempel LADBROKES, their site is no more accesible in greece and they take no more bets from greek punters)

Wow if that is an example of the Greek understanding of how a business model might sink or swim, no wonder they're screwed :(
Report dual November 14, 2012 12:08 PM GMT
That's right Ladbrokes left Greece almost a year ago but no other major player followed. Skybet left recently but they are not on the same "league". Greece recently passed an extension to the previous laws that emphasizes the penalties to bookmakers, player and even ISP that fail to comply with the current law.(ISPs are expected to block access to "black listed sites".
As long as Greece protect OPAP's monopoly I believe nothing will change.
