Same idea as my Home, Away & Draw thread.  I will be using the top 4 English leagues but instead of finding teams to win I will be looking for them to score 2 or more goals.

Each weekend I will attempt to find 1 home team and 1 away team that will score at least 2 goals from each of the 4 leagues.  I will also do the 4 homes and 4 aways in 4folds along with the 8fold aswell as doing the league doubles.

I will also look to find just 1 team from each of the 4 leagues to score 3 or  more goals which in a 4fold pays anything from 200/1 to over 1300/1 depending on odds.

I will be starting 1 from each league this upcoming weekend and will post all selections by Friday night

Just to give you an idea of what I mean I will have a little go and I will attempt to find 1 home team and 1 away team to score 2 or more goals from the Capital One cup and in the Bl Sq Prem.

I will also attempt to find 1 Capital one team and 1 Bl Sq Prem team to score 3 or more goals.

Capital One Cup

Home-  Bradford
Away- Liverpool

Double @ 4.28

Bl Sq Prem

Home- Lincoln
Away- Forest Green

Double @ 4.58

Home double pays 3.47
Away double pays 5.63
4fold pays 19.55

The 2 teams to score 3 or more I am going for Liverpool in the Capital Cup & Lincoln in the Bl Sq Prem which pays 22.00 for the double.

Not too hopeful of these as they are cup games and a non league.  Like I said I will be doing it for the top 4 english leagues but just wanted to show what I meant

So far so good.  Bradford, Lincoln & Forest Green all scoring 2 goals Cool

Just need Liverpool to find the back of the net twice tomorrow night for the fullhouse.

Home double @ 3.47 WON Cool
Bl Sq Prem double @ 4.58 WON Cool

Waiting on liverpool for 4.28 & 5.63 doubles and a 19.55 4fold

Even on this approach you will still only win long term if all the individual prices are " good value " ?
Report ILoveLateGoals • September 26, 2012 8:12 PM BST
No chance with Liverpool tonight Cry

That team will be lucky to have 2 shots let alone 2 goals.  Really wasnt expecting a Liverpool team as woeful as that seeing how this is their one and only chance of a trophy.

Oh well, was still a profitable midweek adventure before the fun starts at the weekend

Wasn't expecting much when I saw the 2 lineups but they have done the business for me.  Fullhouse completed Cool

Home double @ 3.47 WON Cool

Cheers bud,

Little go for tonight seeing how I made over £150 from £5 bets in the midweek.

Siena, Kaiserslautern, Grasshoppers, Hammarby, Halmstad, Umea FC all to score 2+ goals @ 77.61  (£5.00)

Also doing a £5 saver on all 6 teams to score a goal @ 3.31
Report ILoveLateGoals • September 27, 2012 3:43 PM BST
It is 9294/1 that all 6 teams score 3 or more goals Laugh
Report ILoveLateGoals • September 27, 2012 8:50 PM BST
Siena going ot let me down here.  So close yet so far to a 77/1 6fold

Umea scored 5 goals
Halmstad scored 3 goals
hammarby scored 2 goals
Grasshoppers scored 2 goals
Kaiser scored 2 goals

siena 0-0 halftime Cry
Report ILoveLateGoals • September 27, 2012 9:54 PM BST
Siena ruined the party by only scoring the 1 goal after playing the 1st half like a pub team Cry

Other 5 all bagged at least 2 goals so just 1 goal away from the 77/1 6fold Cry

All 6 did score though so a little profit on the saver.  The main bets are to score 2+ goals,  The saver is just to get our money back (or small profit) should every team score a goal

+£6.55 on the night

Overall profit to a £5.00 stake:  +£169.10

Very generous odds, have you added an extra number 7 by mistake?

No they are the correct odds.

Grasshoppers & Halmstad were 10/11 to score 2+ goals and the other 4 were all odds against

Just looking over todays matches to see if there is any opportunities,  1 so far with Cheltenham odds against to score 2+ vs Morecombe

Had a look over todays fixtures and there really isnt much to choose from but hopefully picked out a nice treble.  Getting good odds on the treble anyway.

Cheltenham, Paderborn & Lille all to score 2+ goals @ 12.70   (£5.00)

Also doing the saver on all 3 just to score which is 2.04  (£5)

Hopefully get a nice start to the weekend Cool

My 1 from each league to score 3+ goals is,

Liverpool, Burnley, Preston & Burton @ 187/1
Report ILoveLateGoals • September 30, 2012 10:20 AM BST
Not too far away from giving the bookies a right hammering but a slight prfoit on the day but so nearly an excellent day.  The only league double landed was in the championship with the other 3 leagues all missing out by a single goal Sad

the 187/1 4fold on the 4 teams to score 3+ missed out by just 1 goal Cry  Liverpool scored 5, Preston & Burton scored 3 but Burnley could only manage 2 goals.  If I only I went with leeds instead of Burnely in the championship we'd of had a 250/1+ 4fold Cry

The 15/1 home 4fold missed out by 1 goal with Arsenal missing chances galore including Girouds sitter in stoppage time (what a woeful signing theyve made there)

On the 355/1 8fold for 8 teams to score 2+ we had 5 winners and the other 3 all scored the single goal.

I forgot to post yesterday but as always I did the saver on all 8 teams scoring which was just under 5/1 and was a winner due to all 8 teams scoring.

The 8/1 top treble also missed out by just the single goal with Southend only scoring 1 who did also hit the woodwork Cry

It is a matter of "when" not "if" the bookies will get smashed with this bet.

There is a full programme of midweek championship, League 1 & League 2 games plus Champions League & Europa league so plenty opportunities this upcoming midweek Cool

Just going to look over todays fixtures to see if there is anything of interest.

I've never seen odds like that for over 1.5 goals, I think you mean over 2.5 goals, in which case your posts on 27th Sept at 20.50 and 21.54 don't make any sense.

I take it you're paper trading and have got your odds mixed up by applying over 2.5 goal odds to over 1.5 accumulators?

Trevh, I'm not sure if I have foolishly read the thread incorrectly, but my understanding is that the OP is talking about team goals, rather than total goals in the game? Which would mean for example that the QPR game was a looser despite having 3 goals!!
Report ILoveLateGoals • October 2, 2012 12:31 PM BST
Trevh you have read things all wrong bud, nooooob has it correct.

The bets are for that team to score over 1.5 goals not over 1.5 goals in the match.

I can understand your confusion if you thought I was getting 10/11+ on over 1.5 match goals Laugh

As you will now if you read this thread I pick 1 home team and 1 away team from each league to score 2+ goals.  I then also take one of those 2 selections from each league to score 3+ goals.

On saturday I made the right choice in 3 or the 4 leagues but in the championship I took Burnley instead of Leeds and Burnely only scored 2 with leeds scoring 3 so that decision cost me a 250/1 4fold Cry

Exact same thing happened again tonight,  In the championship and league 1 I made the right decision and Burnely and Crawley did the business by scoring 3 goals.   In league 2 it was obviously out of Torquay and Exeter and I picked Exeter who only scored 2 goals with Torquay scoring 4 so once again I was just 1 goal away a big acca return.

If I made the right choice id of landed a near 80/1 treble Cry

Bookies are dodging bullets left, right and centre!!!

Still another prpfitable night
Report Trevh • October 3, 2012 12:43 AM BST

Ok sorry my mistake, have you been trying this method for long? Curious as to why you pick one home team and one away, rather than two teams regardless of home or away?

Unlucky with the close shaves so far.
Report ILoveLateGoals • October 3, 2012 11:55 AM BST
Hi Trevh,

To answer your question on why I choose H & A I dont really have an answer TBH as I dont know why I choose 1 home and 1 away rather than just 2 from each league regardless.

TBH just choosing 2 regardless of H or A would probably be better rather than forcing myself to search for an away team to score 2 goals.

Will think about it and probably change strategy at the weekend and just look for 2 teams from each league and work with that.

finding 2 teams from each league is a total of 8 teams to score 2 goals which pays in excess of 250/1

The season is still very early and I'm very sure come May there will be quite a few 100/1+ accumulators landed here

Today I have chosen 4 teams and I am doing 4 trebles and the 4fold.

Man City @ 1.90
M'brough @ 2.15
Bristol R @ 2.55
Malaga @ 2.30

Overall profit to a £5 stake:  +£146.75

Burnley, Millwall, Leicester, M'brough, Exeter all to score 2+ @ 45/1.... and also add Notts Co, Torquay, Northampton & Crawley aswell @ 956/1 for the 9fold

I backed all 9 of these to score a goal @ 6.63 so just waiting on M'brough to score tonight and this will be landed.

Report timbuctooth • October 5, 2012 3:19 AM BST
However well you are doing, it`s surely a mistake to restrict yourself to one home and one away. It`s also a mistake to insist on picking exactly two games from each league. You would do much better without such constraints. This reminds me of the bookies` fixed-odds coupons, with the `pick 2 (or 3) from each section` You don`t recieve any bonus for overcoming such hurdles, so why choose to have them in place? Far better to have a five- or sixfold come in, than to keep hitting the crossbar with eightfolds that lose because of the inclusion of one or two teams that are only there to fulfill some self-imposed rule. Of course, relazing these rules also means you might hit a nine-, ten-, or twelvefold!
