Yep you guessed it I am back with another challenge.
Rules are that I can bet on anything and everything at anytime. Some are system bets done via a BOT while others placed based on my wealth of experience in different sports
and others are down right guesswork.
Although I will post some bets up on here I will mainly just post my P&L for the day. Quite simply I don't want to be on the computer all day. My betting includes inrunning as well pre-event and many cases it depends on whether it fits within certain odds ranges.
I assure you all this is 'real betting' going on (as has been with all my challenges). Hopefully I will remind myself throughout this challenge that it is supposed to be attempted in a serious, controlled and non-chasing way
Starting Bank will be £3K.
Wish me luck !

Just for absolute clarity .... the challenge did start this morning (9am to be precise) .... which I have had the following bets. Remember although I will post up some bets throughout the day (especially if not busy with other things) I will mainly just post my P&L for the day (at the end of the day) ...

One thing I will be trying to remember is to take any profit rather than try and go after too much profit ... oh and bloody try and stay away from the tennis betting.

Good luck undern

By:
Very sensible about the tennis - don't do any Isner lays!
Good luck though. |

Challenge Summary:
Greyhound bot was hit hard ... the poor odds are the reason behind it doing so poorly with one loss coming from a lay at 9's which was around 3' in the bookies. Need to re-think. Naturally I joined in to do my utmost in wrecking the challenge ... only to lump on a lay of a heavy fav in the greyhound (went off around 1.68 and I was on around 1.8's ... only to see it crash mid-race and I walk away feeling extremely lucky. Someone mentioned that today 28 favs (bookie ones) in a row at a track lost ... better walk away to fight another day ... although busy over the next few days so won't play as much.21/08/2012 3000 22/08/2012 3669 23/08/2012 3959 24/08/2012 4030 UK: Football: £24.30 | Greyhound Racing: -£111.74 | Horse Racing: £159.01 | Tote: | Total P&L: £71.57 Football Showing 1 - 1 of 1 markets Market Start time Settled date Profit/loss (£) Football / Colon v Racing Club : Match Odds 24-Aug-12 01:50 24-Aug-12 03:45 24.30 Greyhound Racing Showing 1 - 20 of 23 markets Market Start time Settled date Profit/loss (£) Greyhound Racing / Romfd 24th Aug : OR 400M 24-Aug-12 21:40 24-Aug-12 21:55 125.40 Greyhound Racing / Sund 24th Aug : OR 640m 24-Aug-12 21:32 24-Aug-12 21:35 530.23 Greyhound Racing / Romfd 24th Aug : OR 575m 24-Aug-12 21:24 24-Aug-12 21:28 -145.00 Greyhound Racing / Sund 24th Aug : A4 450m 24-Aug-12 21:15 24-Aug-12 21:19 24.30 Greyhound Racing / Romfd 24th Aug : To Be Placed 24-Aug-12 21:06 24-Aug-12 21:11 -137.00 Greyhound Racing / Sund 24th Aug : OR 450m 24-Aug-12 20:58 24-Aug-12 21:01 34.02 Greyhound Racing / Romfd 24th Aug : OR 400M 24-Aug-12 20:34 24-Aug-12 20:38 102.06 Greyhound Racing / Sund 24th Aug : OR 450m 24-Aug-12 20:26 24-Aug-12 20:31 24.30 Greyhound Racing / Romfd 24th Aug : OR 575m 24-Aug-12 20:18 24-Aug-12 20:20 -300.00 Greyhound Racing / Sheff 24th Aug : D4 280m 24-Aug-12 19:26 24-Aug-12 19:36 18.22 Greyhound Racing / Sheff 24th Aug : A6 500m 24-Aug-12 18:38 24-Aug-12 18:43 43.49 Greyhound Racing / Swin 24th Aug : A5 480m 24-Aug-12 16:08 24-Aug-12 16:12 -120.72 Greyhound Racing / Swin 24th Aug : A6 480m 24-Aug-12 14:47 24-Aug-12 14:51 -124.70 Greyhound Racing / Oxfd 24th Aug : A3 450m 24-Aug-12 13:51 24-Aug-12 13:55 -121.45 Greyhound Racing / Hove 24th Aug : A7 515m 24-Aug-12 13:44 24-Aug-12 13:46 24.30 Greyhound Racing / Oxfd 24th Aug : A5 450m 24-Aug-12 13:33 24-Aug-12 13:35 41.66 Greyhound Racing / Oxfd 24th Aug : A4 450m 24-Aug-12 13:19 24-Aug-12 13:22 17.78 Greyhound Racing / Hove 24th Aug : A7 515m 24-Aug-12 12:58 24-Aug-12 13:02 24.30 Greyhound Racing / Oxfd 24th Aug : A5 450m 24-Aug-12 12:04 24-Aug-12 12:06 20.25 Greyhound Racing / Hove 24th Aug : A10 515m 24-Aug-12 11:42 24-Aug-12 11:44 24.30 Greyhound Racing Showing 21 - 23 of 23 markets Market Start time Settled date Profit/loss (£) Greyhound Racing / Oxfd 24th Aug : A4 450m 24-Aug-12 11:34 24-Aug-12 11:36 -149.06 Greyhound Racing / Hove 24th Aug : A11 515m 24-Aug-12 11:28 24-Aug-12 11:30 -91.20 Greyhound Racing / Oxfd 24th Aug : A7 450m 24-Aug-12 11:03 24-Aug-12 11:05 22.78 |

Henok - in short the answer is no. In terms of expanding on the answer - well I could spend 20mins of my time writing a nice long reply but I won't.
If you have taken careful notice of my challenge threads you would have appreciated the following: I run a very nice business which principally runs itself. My business pays me very very nicely (mainly in Dividends) - I gave the answer out on the Anyone Fancy a Lay thread a little while back. I actually treat my time on here a bit like 'playing a game' or perhaps another way of expressing it as a 'challenge' or even perhaps a game of 'chess'. I actually enjoy my time on BF (but have over time been spending less time on here to enjoy other things) In terms of what I bet on and how much - in theory I nice edge, controlled staking etc is the way forward but I actually enjoy (not all the time though) betting on many different sports, for different amounts (although I do have some staking control) and for different reasons ... which to be perfectly blunt is with my money not yours or anyone elses While this main not align with your views of what I should 'be like' the reality this is what I am like .... please respect that. |

Challenge Summary:
Gee what a nice "easy" day where things simply fell into place and literally very few losing bets (unlike yesterday). Therefore didn't feel the need to go in too heavy or do too much. Busy with work and other things so missed a lot of today's racing. If only all days were as easy as this one was. Even my bet on unders in the Chelsea match came through despite me thinking the worst when 2-0 at HT. Also I must admit my bet on the tennis last night was full of trading (like the true tennis trading amateur I am) ... 21/08/2012 3000 22/08/2012 3669 23/08/2012 3959 24/08/2012 4030 25/08/2012 4904 |
