Classic chasing - small stakes but still chasing.

25+ year veteran at the game giving you some good free advice - you have a problem with gambling.

racingguru

you say i have a problem betting but yet your on betfair forum posting at 6.24am

gambling problem - No

lack of disipline - Yes

You would think im the first person ever to chase a losing bet. im sure at some stage in your 25+ year career you have chased a bet.
Report racingguru • July 27, 2012 9:53 PM BST
Firstly I live in Vancouver Canada so 6:24am = 10:24pm and secondly yes in in my first few years of betting I did chase and did lose inevitably. Fortunately I had a good friend who through his example I learnt discipline. Just thought I'd let you know your betting style shows you have a problem with betting and that if you ever want to win at the game or save yourself from the hardships that come from problem gambling you need to do something about it.

Take it as you wish but I was only trying to help you out. All the best.
Report nasri • July 28, 2012 9:46 AM BST
so u r saying you used to have a betting problem as you chased in the early days?
Report racingguru • July 28, 2012 3:35 PM BST
Correct. You're betting seemed so much like mine from my first 2 years of betting it hit a nerve hence I responded to tour thread. My classic chase was the 49.50 bet on the last greyhound race of the day. 45 + 10% tax covered by the 50 pound cheque card.

Anyway I ended up losing 1500 - 2000 pound in the period 1985 - 1987 which was quite a bit in those days until I started to learn better.

ps - I bet pro now and make a decent living from 7 months betting a year.
