It was the obvious one out of all A O'B's entries.......

Anyone that knows about racing would see the obvious.....

Just not impressed with such appraisal of this race......ok ...after-timed.......but I never gave the race much thought ...as it was a relatively "simple race to fathom ( similarly was the derby...re the winer..)...and don't get caught up with all the hype re such SAG races.......

To make no comment re the winner of all the AOB's entries....really is a poor show from RM....a top jockey...no doubt re that ....but very dissappointing re the ommission of YES!

I also think all of Aidan's six deserve their place in the line-up, and Twirl appeals win and place at a very big price.

Just no idea re the patterns re winners in CLASS races..........

31-22 ...TWIRL

Has any horse in the history of OAKS won it with such a weak pattern of results?
Report DFCIRONMAN • June 3, 2012 2:12 AM BST
1-3   WAS...............far stronger pattern of results than TWIRL!

WAS = YES....had a few ...and typed wrong horse in initial post....nevertheless ...the comments are still critical of the ommission of the winner from the RM summary re AOB horses.....

BTW ....I don't believe RM was putting punters away....it is just that, as a jockey, he ain't got much of a clue re what a punter should look for in such a class race.....31-22...just ain't good enought to back such a horse.

I believe it was RM's honest opinion on race.....but just curious why he overlooked the winner in the appraisal......a very lightly raced horse out of all the AOB horses.

look - if you where trying to put punters away,i.e not mention the winner, anybody with a brain wouldnt totally not mention the horse as RM as done ,as its just too blatant ,than it, not to be an honest mistake,

This is what I stated above your post.....pretty bad ommission though...as shows he does not have much of a clue re such CLASS races from punting perspective....

He does mention Was.  He said "she's a lightly raced filly bred for the job".

Where did he say that ? ....Not on post re BF ...

There are plenty of strong runners in Friday's big race at Epsom but, as long as she gets the go ahead, Ryan Moore believes that his horse could be the one to beat...

It tells you how much I rate the horse that I am very happy to be riding a possible non-runner in the Oaks tomorrow in the shape of Kissed.

My logic is that if Aidan thinks the ground is suitable, then I think she will have a big chance of winning.

Clearly, her high knee action suggests she needs to get her toe in. But Andrew Cooper is the best clerk of the course in the country, and he will provide beautiful ground at Epsom on Friday.

And I think Kissed is tailor-made for the race. She was my idea of the Oaks winner at the start of the season.

She looked good when winning at Navan as a two-year-old and everything about her tells you she is a 1m4f horse, being a Galileo half-sister to Pour Moi as well as an Irish Oaks third. And what wasn't there to like about her reappearance win? I think she is a high class filly. Being drawn 14 of 14 isn't ideal though; I would prefer to be drawn in the middle. But it's my job to solve that problem. I just hope that I get the chance.

Although Kissed was one-time favourite for this race, Maybe is clearly Aidan's number one in terms of the betting. She has the best form in the race in the shape of her juvenile wins and her third in the Guineas clearly wasn't a bad run either. She has a real good attitude and will handle Epsom well.

But, in common with most of these, she is going into the unknown over this trip.

That, coupled with the fact that most of these are unexposed, means it is impossible to rule many of these out bar the rank outsiders.

I also think all of Aidan's six deserve their place in the line-up, and Twirl appeals win and place at a very big price.

The Fugue obviously beat her convincingly in the Musidora but I took more positives out of her performance there than most. I think you can mark up that run because Joseph got taken on for the lead by Aniseed after just a furlong, and that wasn't ideal.

She has run two good races this season, including for me at the Curragh in March, and my impression of riding in the race at York was also that a longer trip would see her get a lot closer to the winner. I think she could hit the board and is a big price.

Despite being one of the outsiders, Devotion is a big filly that I like, and Chester runner-up Betterbetterbetter and Naas third Was are lightly-raced fillies bred for the job.

Vow was another impressive winner of her trial and it appears she is very much fancied by her stable. With their record in Classics, you would be a fool to underestimate her. But just when you think you have narrowed it down, you look at another runner and you simply cannot ignore the claims of Kailani either.

Any seventh length winner of the Pretty Polly deserves respect and on a line through the fourth home there, Salford Art, she doesn't have anything to find with The Fugue, who may start favourite. She could quite easily emulate her dam, who won this race 10 years ago.

But, if she gets the go ahead, I genuinely believe that Kissed could be the one they all have to beat.

RichWill - Thanks for spotting that little statement re the winner....

All the AOB horses were in BOLD....except WAS.......the most obvious one to win.

OK ....he did mention it....and stated it was lightly raced and bred for job......but compared to some of other statements with horses in bold...... the statement was pretty well hidden in the piece....Most punters would have not spotted it or paid much attention to a horse not in bold like the others.

So I apologise re RM missing it out the piece......the 4 pints of guiness I had before reading the piece last night have much contributed to me not spotting RM's commentsTongue Out
