Is there a way that I can get an email notification of every bet I place on betfair, ideally in real time?

TIA

Cheers

If you are doing the bets manually you presumably know you are placing them, so the email would be redundant. If you are using an automated program with the API then you could write some code in the program to send yourself an email every time your bot places a bet, though if you place a lot of bets then there's a strong likelihood that your IP address will be identified as spam and all your emails will be blocked. If you don't place many bets then why are you using the API?
The only other thing I can think of is that you may be placing bets in your sleep, due to a form of sleep disorder. If you have a burglar alarm you can set it at night when you go to bed and hopefully this will wake you up if you are sleepwalking.

the motive is important here.  Basically, I think I am at my limit in terms of size of bet that I can comfortably place.  Upping my stakes further is affecting my win rate as it makes me 'think' more.

For the same reasons that banks / trading firms have multiple traders handling identical trades (its much easier and less psychologically involving to press the button on a £10k trade than a £100k trade than a £10m trade), I want to share my bets with others realtime so that the load can be spread.

Testing shows that if another person is in the same room, or if I am interrupting trading to tweet / email / msn, it effects results.

The silently sent email from betfair is one way I thought of to try to do this.

If anyone has other ways that I could consider, shout up.  I am thinking of gotomypc / similar too.

i've thought it would be a nice to have before... you could pay someone to write a bot to do it for you.

You might approach someone like gruss or bfexplorer about this.  They already have a good understanding of the API feed.  taking it one step further might not be a problem for them

You could write a bot that that ONLY allows the user to see the live bets on an account.

The other traders could get a notification when a new matched bet arrives, either an email or the bot could even be running on their machine.
