have gone back to classic after a short trial. have sent a litany of issues but fully expect to see none of them solved when it is forced upon us. dman, i forgot the bit about seeing that betfair is proud to back manchester united (with my money?) more frequently.
that man u thing has to be one of the most clueless pieces of pr ever. who hires these clowns?

Find the beta changes completely unintuitive and the font almost illegible. Hope they don't force it on anyone using the website. There doesn't seem to be much point in the cosmetic changes (unless betfair is deliberately trying to induce customer error, in which case it will likely prove highly effective).

singero: History has repeated itself. They made a change years ago and altered all the fonts. It became unreadable at a glance which, when factoring in the need for "speed" on an exchange, people found it not only illegible but exhausting to look at over a short period.
I worked as a consultant for a friend of mine who did web designs. We created a personal guideline which was to use a font and size that was comfortable to sit and look at and allowing you to glance around a page easily AND make it legible standing three or four feet away.
The 'classic' site does this. The new site borders.
Sites look great at power point meetings on large screens and when designed on 22 inch screens.
But then they need to translate to the users.

A Reasoned View: No matter what, they are going to change to the new site.
So give constructive input (good and bad) to what you see.
To avoid it BUT still remain in the beta group.
When you launch betfair, use any horse racing page then go to the page you want. This seems to trigger classic.
To see the beta, use the search at the top and it will fire you into beta.

It does feel like they're trying to push us to BETA. When I open Betfair I have it to go onto the football main page.
In BETA it shows you the games which are playing. In classic they don't seem bothered enough to update the page to show any in play games - you generally have to go searching for them which obviously takes time and can mean goals are scored in the meantime.
So effectively Betfair are losing out on commission as this stops bets/trades being placed.
I agree with Shapeshifter that BETA isn't good to look at - not very sharp for ease of use.
Seems like too much sugar in what was a good cup of tea
