They would be the obvious suspects Happy

I seem to recall reading somewhere a 3rd party (Scandanavian?) company did this.

Any info?

Are they anything to do with Betfair? It doesn't appear so ...therefore you can't say they seed the markets.
Report jimmy69 • February 29, 2012 5:56 PM GMT
They are just punters like the majority of us.
Report the silverback • February 29, 2012 6:14 PM GMT
Why can't you say that James?
Report jimmy69 • February 29, 2012 6:16 PM GMT
Well they are not seeding  for Betfair I meant.

I think they are. The main market making lumps all disappear 1 second before every suspension, like clockwork, inter connected with the suspend button. It started occurring about a year ago. Why wouldn't BF want a larger piece of that pie after all?

It seems that they are "offering a service" but looks like they are simply traders working with large quantities with a minor % return.

By 'legitimizing' themselves as 'seeders' seems to be the angle to get their programs/api linked up cleanly to the exchange(s).

What chance they pay PC?
Report catfleppo • March 1, 2012 8:57 AM GMT
Doubt it, they run very tight margins

As seeders, there would most likely be no commission or PC.  As well, they may also be contracted to trade and cover any exposure on multiples.

Their margin, though, is pretty small.

And when I say "they", it might just come down to two or three people living on the high street in Malta.

Interesting. They won't pay PC for sure.
