In the Djokovic v Murray-There was in excess of 46 million traded on this match today.I am aware that the majority of this trading in and out.How much operating profit would betfair make on this iyo(exluding premium charges just commission)??
i believe on things like tennis and cricket (with alot of trading), they make about 0.7% of total traded. But dont forget anything on the "aus exchange" is a joint venture so its more like 0.25%

Thank u Mr.h.So a little over 100 grand on this match.Mr.h and what margin do they work at on that 100 grand for actual profit?Do u know what % they work on Horse racing /football?

I'd say that's very decent, considering it's risk free. Anything in excess of expenses incurred is worthwhile for Betfair, although they'll take more if they think they can.

I wonder how much it would have been if the providers of the famous liquidity (aka the shell and pea boys) didn't get 7 or 8 seconds to decide whether they want the mug bets?

the amount looks about right, marginal profiteering may seem like missing the boat but if you do enough of it repeatdly you still win in the long run by way of greater circulation which it turn creates a system that should grow organically as the last ten years as proved.
