As of 18 February 2012 due to Supreme Court of Appeals ruling. Is there a way to get around this i.e Will Betfair deny access to the website to all traffic from South Africa or will they deactivate the actual accounts of SA citizens hence no matter where you are in the world you will not have acess to the website.

I know Spaniards are currently undergoing the same. Can anyone suggest a way to get around this

I haven't seen the ruling.  I believe it is "betting from" that would get blocked.   However, you would have to look at the ruling to see what it says about SA's having funds IN a betfair account.

What do they base the ruling on? Is all gambling being banned over there?

Another country bites the dust. It will just be Britain and a handful of countries soon.

How can they justify dictating to people what to spend their money on?

Presumably none of these countries allow a national lottery, the biggest poor value gamble of all.
