Is it normal for someone with that kind of amount in their account to use a bot?

I've been writing my own bots for years, never had more than a couple hundred quid in my account. My bots suck, clearly :P
The person had 1K in their account at the time of the bet...there is no mention of what his or hers current exposure was...doh!
