If anyone else on here frequents this shop, I found out to my misfortune today that they have now stopped offering Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) prices on all races and now only offer this on 5 selected races per day. I stressed to the shop assistant that this is not exactly a great service to shop customers paying cash, when BOG prices are given on all races when betting online. I pointed out that the Paddy Power shop a minutes away does offer BOG prices on all races and would go there instead in future, to which she replied that they'd had a meeting with the PaddyP shop and agreed they too would now only be offering BOG on only 5 races! An example of collusion or price fixing if ever I saw one.

This yet another example of the shop punter being shafted, as the bookies are quite comfortable now that their bread if being buttered with the Fixed Odds Betting Terminals, which should be confined to Casino's in my opinion. I see far too many drug dealer chavs using them night and day to launder their money

Pretty silly of them to admit collusion, but I don't really think you can moan about 'not exactly a great service for shop customers' relative to online. Businesses can and should be allowed to price discriminate as they wish - it's much cheaper to service you online than in a bricks and mortar shop so why should the prices be the same? It would be exactly the same if you were buying for example electrical goods online vs in shop.

Sorry not having a dig, but this is standard practise in businesses in my opinion.
