For a simple person seeing as Excel is not my strong point.

I know how to formulate a backing spreadsheet, but looking for a laying formula.

H = Stake
I = Odds
J = Bookie
K = W/L
L = P/L

What I want to know is what should be in "L"

For example, I lay something @ 1.34 for £10. My liability is £3.40
Obviously if the lay is successfull, I win £10 minus commission.
If the selection wins, I lose £3.40

And is it possible to include the deduction of commission at 5%?

Anyone help?

Cheers.

            H        I        J        K        L
    1        Stake        Odds        Bookie        Win (1) / Lose (0)        P/L
    2        10.00        1.34                0        -3.40

Insert the formula below in cell L2

=IF(K2"",IF(K2=1,H2*0.95,-(I2-1)*H2),"")

Usual problem displaying the less than and greater than characters Laugh

I'll try again......

=IF(K2 < > "",IF(K2=1,H2*0.95,-(I2-1)*H2),"")
