Trying to place a multiple on the American Football, after selecting one side against the spread, I'm then unable to add an over/under the total to the bet as it says it's a conflicting market. How can this be as one pick has absolutely NO IMPACT on the other?

of course it does.

the more total points there are, the more probable it is that the superior team, ie favourite, has won.
