How do I go about having an automated 'bot' written.?
What is the procedure re Betfair API link.? Do I need to apply
for one? How is this done.?
I have looked at ready made commercially sold 'bots' but they
don't have the options I am looking for.
Are there any 'bots' available out there that will allow me to have code written to suit my requirements.?
Basically I want to back and then automatically lay when a certain
price criteria is met then automatically back again and continue looping..... and vice versa.

Any suggestions most welcome

Take it you want conditional repeat trading then, possibly mutiple selections and races at one time.

Bf explorer allows bot scripts to be written for bespoke trading in vb or c#

Do I really need to subscribe to a ready made service? Does Betfair provide an API platform for anyone and at what cost if any? . Scuse my ignorance on this.
I don't need any of the functions on a ready made bot. I have only one requirement which a programmer can write for me. Just need the platform I think
Please enlighten me further
Thanks

Hi racepro

There is a series of articles in Smartersig's online magazine which started this month on writing bots, called Betfair API Programming. Smartersig also has an email forum, which means you can ask the author questions if you need too...

Good Luck

There are lots of freelancers out there who will write a bot based on your spec.  Check out the following sites:

www.guru.com
www.elance.com
www.odesk.com
www.rentacoder.com

You don't pay up front - NEVER send money direct to the freelancer - you pay the site, the freelancer sends you the work - and if you're happy, you let the site know and they pay the freelancer.
It's free to get quotes so you can put a request and get some idea of times and prices.
