Offer a bribe ?
Get him a girlfriend ?
An overseas luxury trip perhaps ?
Btw why ask on here ?
Do you think bookies use it to offset their liabilities or something like that ?

FINE AS FROG

Imagine you had been in a business that regulated itself for 40 years and it cost you £35 for 3 years for a licence.
Next salute you are charged £1700 a year and made to put hungreds of stickers and leaflets all over the place and ask anyone who looks younger than Albert Tatlock to prove they are over 18. It cost g Corals Hills Lads Fred Power £80 per shop.
The top woman in the Gamb Comm earns £250k part time and thinks a yankee is an american and a round robin is a fat bird you see in the garden at xmas. Over heads are about 100k for a independent or The cost of a pint for the bloke sat in the corner of the workin mens takin bets. Fkin great.

just make sure you have a red folder with all the relevant information in it that they have sent you.

have a green folder for self exclusion forms etc.

have gamcare /problem gambling leaflets placed next to and between fobts and by front door and back of shop.

have a poster at front and back of shop.

have a think 21 poster on front door and inside shop.

i supose you do not have a card terminal in your shop so you do not entice people to empty there accounts like the big 3.

any one that places a large stake bet say of instance 500.00 you will ask for i.d with name and address even though the big 3 do not but truthfully you will not.

if any one has  large staking cash bets on short ones and they ask for kites you will inform g/commission,customs and police.like fack you will but they will not argue.

tell them you operate an over 21 policy not a think 21 policy thats b0llocks but ask what the big 3 do.

any kids come in and attempt to play machines you disable the machines straight away and ask them to leave.

do not be intimidated by g/commission as the officer will know very little about the game but front them and say let us go to 2 or 3 of the big firms shops now and we will test them to see if the shops are adhering to these practices and try and pick a shop near a college at lunchtime when the kids invade the shop to play fobts.

just have the 3 things that they ask i think it is to protect vulnerable from gambling/keep crime out of gambling/to bet in a fair and honest way.

if you do not have the neccesary leaflets just go round the big 3 shops and nick theres and cut/colour out there names.

you have nothing to fear from these comedians and if they do start coming on a bit strong demand the name of there superior and tell them you want to know exactly what licencing conditions they have put on the big 3 as they have failed many under age test purchases and one particular large firm encourages the use of cloned/stolen cards as they get paid as long as a pin number is used during a transaction.

You shouldn't see them again now, but they will gladly take your £1700 come August.
As for Turf Tv, if you have a very busy shop then I would keep it in, but if you are struggling and need to cut down your exs then I dont see the point in keeping it. The big meetings are on normal TV so you wont lose them. If its costing you £800/ month and you need to take about 6k to make that, would taking it out cost you 6k a month in turnover? I doubt it. Taking it out wont stop people playing the fobs or betting on the football which now make up most of the profit. Saturdays are still busy in the mornings and with the footy but come 2 o clock most shops are empty. During Cheltenham its usually packed untill it starts on the TV but you will still have 5 races on C4. Turf TV will charge you to take it out if you are still under contract though.

I sent you a message a while ago about something that I reckon you definitely need now, did you get it?
