Women do love gambling as much as men but I cant see the current BF product shelf bringing them into BF, BF to busy trying to tackle world domination to realise the huge potential closer to home.

No it was on the tennis forum, on a thread during a match. I remember the name of the poster as i found what he said shockingly retrograde. But he remained polite, he said he think men should work and women take care of children and house, he's a traditional.

Yeah I'm a woman and I'm on here nearly 3 years. I think there is lots of us but probably not many on the forum. I think the forum is a waste of a persons  time except maybe now and again for team news or something like that. Twitter or Facebook is the place to be.

For whats its worth I bet on Soccer, American football Golf and the odd time Rugby. Not really into betting on Horses now since they moved all the big races to Saturday. Lots of other things to do on a Saturday than sit in front of the Telly than watching horse racing. Yeap SHOPPING.......

Anyway I think watching horse racing these days since they changed the whip rules is like watching Greyhounds eg if your not in the first two coming into the straight your bet is as good as gone. So it has turned into a bit of a YAWN....( nearly prefer to watch Cricket now)

Some of my friends also bet we try to bet against each other on the other site which is quieter. She my best friend she likes betting on the rugby and golf especially the golf match ups.She seems to do quite well on it. She also loves betting on the Rugby. Actually the race is on now to who pays the PC first. By then I probably give it up or at least cut it back. Either way I don't plan to do this for more than 5 years. I reckon by then the novelty for me will have wore off.

Got to go now and cheer on PHILLY in the NFL match tonight. Not sure how long i last before i head off for my beauty sleep

This comment from the (female) AllezLesBleus hits the nail on the head: "I think the forum is a waste of a persons time". For anyone serious about making money, when not actually trading, the forum isn't the best use of one's time. A cursory glance as a way of spending some down time every day or two in a quiet moment is one thing, but clearly many people spend far too much time on here, time that would be better spent on research or, dare I say it, getting out and about.
Report abolo December 4, 2011 5:22 PM GMT
I think the forum is a good place to wait between two bets. You can watch 3 matchs in a row without to make any bet because the good opportunity didn't came. Meanwhile you can browse the sports sites to find some infos but hardly for 12 or 15 hours, so to speak on the forum is a good way to get some fun while waiting.

If you were ever to meet a women in a pub  who could talk about football in great detail in the same way that most men can and do, would you find that an attractive or unattractive trait in them ? Would you find it ( say) too masculine and unnatural or something like that ?
In the same way if you met a man who could and did talk extremely meanungfully about ( say) women's netball, would you find that a bit too effeminate and unnatural ?.
I am obviously playing up to certain stereotypes here, but the point being is that sports gambling is generally perceived, rightly or wrongly, as being largely in the male preserve.
It's interesting to note that whilst TV stations do use women sports presenters to appeal to women viewers presumably, there are not really many very suvccessful or popular female sports broadcasters out there. Or are there ?
Just to be honest and straightforward, I will post my true colurs up here on women and sport.
I dislike all women sports in general from a spectator viewpoint, but most intensely I dislike even the idea of women playing sports that I deem as being overtly masculine, like football and cricket and boxing etc.
Call me sexist, but I see no reason at all for women to play such sports, except to prove the point that it's a free world.
Report frimpong December 5, 2011 1:30 PM GMT
hmm well i would/do, i admit, find it masculine for a woman to be really into sport.

also i think the female sports presenters, esp. on Sky, are there for the blokes eye candy. i mean, is there an unattractive one on sky sports news?
Report FINE AS FROG HAIR December 5, 2011 1:39 PM GMT
And also there are far too many top female sports stars who, to my liking, walk and talk more like boys in disguise ( with however a few very obvious, very notable exceptions).
But these exceptions are far too rare imo.
I personally do not find muscular, fit looking women all that attractive either.
Maybe too off putting tbh, as I am myself not very muscular or fit looking.
But muscles on women is not a good look to me.
Putting it all there today eh folks ?
Report FINE AS FROG HAIR December 5, 2011 1:43 PM GMT

Yeah I'm surprised too. I'm rolling out enough line after all.
I actually really have no problems with women in certain areas of popular sport, racing tennisand golf being the obvious ones. Absolutely nothing wrong with women jockeys imo.
But when it comes to women wearing boxes ( as presumably they must do in cricket), then come on.
But I don't go as far as one commentator who ( jokingly ? )said that women cycle races at the olympics should involve shopping baskets on the front. Or do I ?
