i have 2 dfferent connections to the API 1) a vps and 2)50MB VirginMedia cable and i was running the same Bot on both (testing something)
this afternoon the VPS was flying along (as usual) but the VirgnMedia was crawling (and that's actually been the case for a few days now), so at first sight you'd say there's nothing wrong with the API and something wrong with the VirginMedia connection
but, I've done speed test and all the rest on the VirginMedia connection to everywhere but BF and it's fine ... about 45 MBps
so I suspect that this is a reoccurance of a problem several users had months ago, when the stability/speed of connection depends upon which API IP address your particular connection connects to at the BF end ... so that if there's a problem with one of the servers/routers in the API cluster, or a problem with load balancing and you're unlucky enough to be connecting to that IP address, then you have a cr@p connection.
of course, i'm guessing, but the last time that happened it wasn't resolved until a 'scheduled downtime', and i see there's one intended for early tomorrow morning ... so fingers crossed.

Thanks Eddie. I managed. It seems random whether it works or not, managed to get a little window where it was working.
Cancel all on the actual market on the web page was also screwed as I tried that way.

I just got dropped from API and couldn't log on again (though web site seemed ok), restarted and was ok.
"go figure" as our friends across the pond would say. Like, Dude
