I don't but I would guesstimate there would be hundres of thousands, at the very least, using these three well known bots.
You should get swamped with replies, mostly all pretty positive and encouraging I would expect.
Report The-Special-One November 16, 2011 1:52 AM GMT
ive been advised to post in 'general betting' for sensible replies
Report FINE AS FROG HAIR November 16, 2011 2:01 AM GMT
Yes there are many, many users of these bots who read and post sensibly on here, so you should get a reasonably useful response or two in time.
From my reading of this forum over quite a long time, these products are viewed favourably by pretty much all who use, or have used, them.
Report The-Special-One November 16, 2011 2:04 AM GMT
out of curiousity - why dont you use them?
Report FINE AS FROG HAIR November 16, 2011 2:06 AM GMT
I bet manually only pre- off and never trade or bet in-play.
So essentially I have no need for them.

Out of curiosity why are you " special " ?
Report The-Special-One November 16, 2011 2:09 AM GMT
i make plenty without ever having used software. But i keep reading about it and just want to get opinions. Also, i want to start trading in big movements in and out of markets with big money and i hear that trading software is good for that sort of thing

Your last sentence in your penultimate post is a real worry to me.
Are you sure you're ready for the big time ?.
If I may say so, without unduly ruffling your feathers, you do soumd somewhat " green " at all this betting stuff.
But if you're  "special ", then I suppose all will be good in the end..

Where did you get your chimps from coolhand?
Report coolhand November 17, 2011 8:25 PM GMT
Suso30,
I going to have to let them go, i discovered they have been writing some scripts for cr@p TV behind my back, Pan Am.  Rotten chimps, might have to look in on the football forum for some more LaughLaugh.
Report Suso30 November 18, 2011 4:07 AM GMT
coolhand,
I'll take them off your hands, How much do you want for them?

Pan Am isn't that bad, I think that with my guidance they could be sensational.

here is my opinion..

geeks toy - free and does the job... features like one click betting, ladders, charts are good ..if u r really that much into technical u may want to use ninjatrader...

gruss - a more advanced version of geeks toy and has features like stop loss, dutching etc.. u get a free trial so try it out before you buy

betangel - good excel integration and ability to view multiple markets on one screen...

as far as i know TSO u bet and not trade.. in that case betfair interface or something like geeks toy is good enough.... if you r into horses or trade then u can go for paid options like gruss

I've used Betangel for a few years now. It's probably the most expensive of the bunch but it's packed with features, many of which help to trigger ideas and strategies in your mind. It also has soccer mystic and tennis trader built-in. These (effectively standalone) tools are, in my opinion, worth the fee alone. The automation linked into Excel is also advanced.

As has been said a thousand times on here before, none of these APIs can guarantee you will profit from your betting. That bit is up to you!
Report bf_fananatic November 18, 2011 1:01 PM GMT
On the subject of which are safe, well they are all safe if approved in the app directory of betfair, some that are not listed in the app directory are also safe, are deposits safe from los, well th at will never be the case when basically you are making investments in risk, that responsibility lies squarely at your own feet.

I can confirm that he/she is not Walter Mitty and that I am the only Walter Mitty around these shores.
