Well i will try 100% to put them up, but there is some days im at work for 15 hours etc so some days wont bet. No, this will be it. If you dont want to see or follow my progress dont post!

something i need to start doing, since 2 weeks im -£1.5k on tennis, backing the favourites, the tennis stars you would expect to win.

Yep it is quite embarrasing posting up all your challenge bets but if you are going to 'seriously' do one of these challenge threads you really ought to be posting up your p&l statement with your bets placed .... otherwise what is the point of starting this thread

a p&l report can cover more than one day ... so yep no excuse. Well done all sorted. Can't wait to see your p&l with all your bets and challenge summary. Great stuff ... and I am sure it will do you the world of good in understanding what works and what doesn't .....

Yep, i did back Tursonovic (sp), and i backed Davydenko aswell so i was  screwed by 2 really bad games. Made some money on the Bogomolov game though.

Ok Here it comes, 1st day was very nerve, started off with very low stakes, but was damaged with horse racing and greyhounds. Was doing ok on tennis, until i stupidily put on a large bet on some mug that couldnt hit a ball if he tried. Anyway i was saved by football

An awful lot of different sporting events there. Seem to be rather varied betting stakes as well. Why RB doesn't stick to small stakes and restrict himself to a few events he's confident about, I don't know.

Paul, I'd imagine there's an awful lot of randomness going on there. I certainly wouldn't be using RB as a model.

Ok even though today has been a disaster il still post, started off good with 2 good bets, somehow the real ,mayer didnt turn up and lost that bet, then monfils lost 2-0 which i layed, damm, and then i thought i backed simon @ 2.6 for £10, until bet confirmation came up with £100. Stupid mistake, just wanted to get great odds to hurried it and didnt check. Anyway, i think im now staying away from tennis as im doing bad on it, footy is the way forward for me!

To be fair Paul, you were betting on tennis despite knowing absolutely nothing about it, so you can't really describe it as 'a git' just because you lost putting stupid bets on so-called favourites.

Even while you were putting a string of bets on tennis matches, you were also posting up blitheringly stupid questions like 'why do the women lose their serve more often than men?'   Duh....  Even Jack was making fun of your lack of knowledge.

There's certainly money to be made on tennis, but you've got to know something about it and plan your prices carefully. You can't just wade in and bet on virtually every match that comes along.

Dont get involved in markets you know little about, there will always be someone thinking the exact opposite of you, and its best to think that they have done plenty of work to come to that selection, and if you havent done your work, or are still not confident, walk away and save your money for another bet where you do feel confident, where you feel you know 'more' than the person on the opposite side of your bet.

What - so your thinking was hey if I have a bad day no problem I simply won't post up my bets ..... gee you sound more than happy to post up your good days and show everyone how wonderful you are so equally you should automatically post up your losing days as well ..... in keeping with the spirit of these challenges despite how embarrasing it looks (just take a look at my latest challenge)

Well he did post up his bets, didn't he?  So what's your point?

The point is unlike his last challenge thread where he posted up his good days but suddenly stayed very quiet on his losing days (and not posted up his bets) .... there shouldn't be an "even though ....... i'll still post" ....

... but then again Cooee you may beg to differ to my own thoughts

what are you on about Dlarssonf - I don't care when he updates his thread but I do find it amazing that he has in the past updated when he has a profitable day and didn't update (at all) when he has had a losing day .... you will find most common-folk would agree with me ... but hey what do I know

Well you obviously do care when he updates his thread. Whenever somebody starts a challenge thread, you're on their back the second they stop posting, or don't post all of their results.  Which is fair enough, but on this occasion he did post up his bad set of results, so it seems a bit unfair to criticise him as though he didn't post them up!    It's not as though we're supposed to take RB very seriously anyway - he certainly doesn't seem to approach his own betting with any seriousness!

I guess I have seen (in my time) many many of these challenges start and when the going gets (a bit) tough they suddenly disappear without a trace ....

I do understand the point you were making. But his little whine about even putting up the bad days was only a minor infraction and didn't really deserve the moderate rant it got from you.   Just hold fire. Unless RB improves his discipline pronto, he'll give you plenty of riper opportunities to rip into him in the future!

The guy gave up. He posted a lot on tennis forum. He was almost always backing the fav : quick way to the poor house in tennis.
