Thats it from yesterday, 8 out of 9 bets won! will post it up from now on ,

I like to back and lay dogs, usually look to lay two dogs in a race for say £10 stake and back one dog for a £10 stake, i.e, if my dog loses but the other two and also losers then I make £10, obvioulsy if one of my selections wins it can be expensive give the 100% book prices compared to industry SP but it has served me well.

My next bet if Romford 3-07, back T2 and lay T4 & T6, obvioulsy if there are non runners or reserves my bet is void as these selcetions are based on the form of the original card.

Hope you enjoyed a winner and two well beaten lays! Next bet is Crayford 3.58, backing T4 and laying T3 and T6. I also think On The Way Out will easily win the 4.15 at Clonmel although will not be backing it if it goes off much less than 5/2

Day 2

Started my day of so badly, though i would go to horses, lost £70 so quickly. Then though oh wait, il go to tennis, lost more there so was -£80 at one point. Went away for few hours, came back determind. Won few bets in a row and came out with a £24.70 Profit for the day which im delighted. here you can see my bets, dont laugh at how much i lost at times!

Well it certainly sounded like you put a bet on some 30mins before the 1st goal ... (the odds for under 3.5 goals by the way at the time was 1.06 or so - so greening out would have been interesting) ...

Thanks mate, yep about 80-90% of my bets now are lays, especially on football and set betting on tennis. I dont plan much, just do in play on goals and sets etc. Probs go overs on tottenham tomorrow! And will be watching the tennis thoroughly, can make a load on tennis if you get the right odds for each at the right time! Good luck though.

Firstly congratulations on making some nice profits.

I must admit I am still amazed how you posted two comments on a thread saying that you had an unders bet inplay - which didn't show up in your p&l for that day. Your inital explaination being that as soon as you saw the 1,2 then 3 goals go in you decided against the bet .... but the first goal went in some 30mins after your post . I personally think you had an under 3.5 goals bet then when the goals went in - in quick succession you went all red (which you mentioned you did in an earlier bet) to reduce your liabilities ... but only really you know ...

So these are your daily totals ... however I was wondering why they don't add up to the daily p&l statements. Likewise you mention a cricket bet (Pakistan) which would have been settled during the afternoon (29th) but doesn't show up in your p&l statement nor does it show up in your updated bank total ....

Hi Undern, what must of happened is that on the thread for the game, i game my opinion on what the verdict would be and said i had backed unders or overs, what ever it was. But i did not put the bet on the game, must of changed my mind etc i dont know. I couldnt of red out as there was no bet!

As for the Profit and loss statements, they are a day ahead, on 26th i started with £500 and won £27.82 which i carried forward to the 27th. Etc

As for the cricket, it is a series bet so it isnt complete yet, i put £15 on at 1.35, so as its still open i havent lost it, but my bank is -£15. If i do win or lose, i will include that Profit or loss on the day that the bet is completed.

How do you mean my Profit and Loss doesnt add up?

dlarssonf - please don't call me ignorant. I was reminded a good number of times by various contributors that my (and I guess other challenge threads) are open to questions from others ... so I guess I am trying out what others have done to me ...

What got my interest was (if you read my posts) - was how the OP could post on a football thread (twice) that he put on a bet and then with his (first) explaination of why he didn't put it on was that he noticed that goals went in (and hence decided not to do it) however like I have pointed out the goals went in some 30mins after his posts .... which basically leads me to the explaination being far from the truth ....

Why would you post that you have an unders bet on then 8mins later post another comment that you are hoping to green up so hoping for no goals etc) when in actual fact you didn't have a bet on at all .... I find that bewildering to say the least ....

OP - you posted up day 2 p&l total as follows ....

I dont see why you wont post on here again! i havent done anything and you seem to be worrying about other people than yourself - especially losing about £1000 in 2 days!

Guys, i dont want any trouble here or arguing, i simply want to make some money and im writing a diary to keep motivated and show others how i am doing.

tbh, tennis is the easiest market to bet on because there arent much big swings, or when they happen, you generally see them coming

Very nice play Redbull. Don't overbet and make sure you step up your bet sizes gradually (you obviously work with quite small stakes, but don't be tempted to increase them dramatically just because some users on here seem to be playing with large banks), and there's no reason why you shouldn't be extremely successful.

Fred - will do buddy, started doing the odd coupon a few years back, im on 18 now (sssshhhhh) but not looking to get deadly serious, would like to get the bank upto a few thousand figure after ive conquered doubling my initial £500.

HAD A TERRIBLE DAY

It was my own fault, i was rushing trying make large ammounts of money and it has taught me a lesson to take things slower, also i could have greened out for a 80% profit but i was greedy and then 2 **** penalties came about and i lost £60.

Redbull, I don't want to be a downer but it's extremely unlikely that you'll make money here long term by predicting outcomes of events. You'll have lucky spells and unlucky spells and slowly drown to commission. If you want to succeed you must concern yourself more with the odds you take rather than the selections you make, or you'll just go the same way as nearly everybody else.

Hi Guys, been a few days, things have been up and down. I lost £340 over 2 days, literally got so annoyed so started to do big bets, unfortunately they lost. But this has taught me not to get emotional when loosing and not to chase the money.

If you lost £340 in 2 days through big chase bets, how did you manage to make £300 today without putting on big bets?  You were keeping your stakes pretty small over those first few days. If you're being looser with your betting, you might want to draw back a little and try and keep it small and steady.

Today has been a success. Yes i did bet big but luck was on my side but from now on its back to normal as im back on tract with my balance. Back to small bets as this has been killing me mentally chasing money. No rush now i can take things slow again. Went all in on a game and greened out and made a mint, contemplated scrapping the thread and taking more money out the bank to recuperate the losses, but took it slow today and got lucky. So its a new beginning i suppose and Mr Careful again.

Well done for now, but please, don't full bank it again!  That approach always works until the one time it doesn't. And then you're left with nothing.  (You can waste years on this game seeming to get somewhere and then, after a few months, losing everything on an unfortunate full bank job, only to start again with new money, build it up over a few months, losing it all to a full bank job and on and on..)     

Just keep it careful and steady from now on. Even if you have a bad run, keep it steady and work your way back. Don't *ever* full bank it or play massive bets, or you're just going to keep losing in the long term.

Yeah, started off well, got greedy and hit some bad results. Same old same old.

he lost 650 on djoco the other day i think he posted 650, to much all in just a lucky looser ;)

Going all in simply doesn't work. It's only when you stop playing those occasional (but potentially destructive) huge bets that you can work out how to make your system operate effectively. Everything up to that point is just throwing your money down the drain.

Hi Guys, sorry for no update in a while, yes i got off track and started to get really greedy, upped the bets and lost lots. I feel that im going to start again but i still have some on my origional stake left. I feel i rushed myself in order to make lots which obviously isnt the way.

Also, my total now is 600, but 250 of that is more money i deposited, so i am 350 of the 500 i had originally. Im looking to get to £750 and do a 5k challenge over 1 year. Some people will think i wont last a week never mind a month, but because i lost the first one and got greedy im more determind not to get that bad again. Im going to put a link to the new thread when its done, i feel that because i have cheated by depositing more i cant carry on this thread. And that im looking for a new challenge to get me going again.

Most will think ive failed, which i have, but please have faith, this next one will not be a fail - believe me.

I will link to my new thread when its started next few days, all of you are wecome to share your views etc and help me along the way, keep me on track.

Yep these challenges aren't easy (I should know) ... so you ended up starting with £500 and ended with £350. Therefore could you kindly post up all your bets for your challenge - it is a simple copy and paste job so should take you a couple of minutes - as apart from posting that this is what you would do - it would be of interest to all your followers and it will most probably help you in deciding how best to move forward with your next challenge.

yeh your right i am, had full bank bets etc, crazy bets, but its my business, and im wanting a fresh start and will post all the things from now on on request on my new thread.

Sorry to say that it's long odds on that it will be a fail Redbull, believe me, and each time you will come back with a new bank. Nothing wrong with that if you can afford it, and what you learn (or not) each time you fail will determine whether you'll eventually make it or not. Please don't take that as patronising, it's just the simple truth.
