Bit of a roller-coaster day. Greyhound laying didn't go according to plan - what has hit it is the odds that been laying at and also things like the race times being out so the Bot was laying at lets just say not the most accurate odds. Then later on tonight when I narrowed down the odds I wanted to play ... stupidly forgot to turn the bot back on so (yep you guessed it) missed out on an extra couple of hundred ... my own fault but feel stupid.
Also played a lot on horse racing, football, rugby (with mixed success) and the like to help soften some of the greyhound losses ... hoped to have a more encouraging day tomorrow ... shouldn't be too hard on myself as still averaging £100 per day but definitely don't want everyday to be like this one ...as I did wish to move away from being on here too often. Challenge Summary: 03/10/11 £2500 04/10/11 £2655 05/10/11 £2608 06/10/11 £2196 07/10/11 £2458 08/10/11 £2879 09/10/11 £2740 10/10/11 £3012 11/10/11 £3214 12/10/11 £3732 13/10/11 £4155 14/10/11 £3844 15/10/11 £3752 |

Pleased with the nice recovery to hit a new challenge high .... just not with the way it was done. Bot bets earned around £140 of today's profits. Hit I think 3 out of 4 winners in the Aussie racing before I had time to wake up which I guess set the seen for the rest of the day. Aussie's in the rugby let me down ... but yes I know take your Aussie hat off Undern.
Nice lay on Lewis in the F1 and lay Newcastle in the football. Need to step away from this over-playing on here and get back to just the bot bets .... just not fully confident with the greyhound lay selections while with the horse lays always thinking I can lay the at lower odds ir .... Well if it wasn't for donating money to the punters on the Australia racing market then things would have been so much better. Really need to give the morning stuff away as been done in a number of times now ... played well throughout the day with some concentrated efforts in the greyhound laying. P&L reports won't show the £40 or so wasted on the 0-0 back bet I did on the Spanish football game still being played (ie: not settled yet) ...
Still got to be pleased with overall profit today ... and hopefully (touch wood) slowly move through the £5K barrier soon ... thanks guys for the posts. pity I am trying to wreck my own challenge by wasting too much money on the morning Aussie racing ... done it again today as well ... still doing okay though.

Very lucky to get out of today a little bit down. Lost too much (yet again) this morning playing on the Aussie racing and later on pushed too much on a couple of horse lays. Even did a tennis bet which was a waste and finally came good with a win in the football ... very busy tomorrow (thankfully) so don't intend spending more than say £25 on the Aussie racing ...

Anyone looking at one horse race in particular thinking how the fk did you win that amount ... yep it was this one. too big a bet on the Balaklava lay (greened up using £25 though) ... these are the type of big bets I need to cut out of my betting if I am to stand any chance ....

the only way you cut out bets like that is by keeping focused and I find that I lose focus when I'm tired whether that be after a long session punting (3 or 4 hours in one go) or after too many consecutive days punting. I find its vital for success to take regular breaks during the day and frequently have days off from punting. Being refreshed can still help you to grind out a profit even if luck doesn't go your way

hi johnny good to see u.. do you still bet on US racing, sadly the sport and forum both have died with the PC2 & 3....
good going undern, slow and steady.. i see that you have stopped doing mini challenges? they used to be good for you on days when you were tempted to bet big.. |
|
By:
You having problems with the US Racing liquidity Ocean? There's still a decent amount available on a number of the races, but you do have to wait until the last couple of minutes or so to get a decent bet on. The forum has certainly died a death (I haven't even looked at the threads there for about a week), but I don't think the markets themselves are as defunct as the forumites believe. It's obviously not great though.
|
|
By:
It's impossible. You are only allowed so many bets each week before being charged extra by exchange. Then once your profit exceeds 10k your payments start rising 20% then higher till you are paying 60% of winning + commission What you aim for or claim to be doing is impossible.
|
|
By:
Oh, well that's that then. Let's all give up.
