Does anyone here know whether I am allowed to let my GF use my Betfair account ?

I checked the terms and cons , and it has 2 parts that tend to contradict each other:

" If another person accesses your account, you are solely responsible for all their actions whether or not their access was authorised by you and you hereby indemnify us and hold us harmless against all costs, claims, expenses and damages howsoever arising in connection with the use of or access to your account by any third party."

"You are solely responsible for the security and confidentiality of your account. In particular, you agree to keep your username, password and/or TAN strictly confidential and you are responsible for any misuse of your password and/or TAN. Provided that we have been correctly supplied with the account information requested, we are entitled to assume that offers and payments are made by you."

It says i must not give my password to any third party, but then when it talks about other people using the account, it suggests they are fine with it if i know about it and accept full responsibility.

Does anyone know the official line on this please ?

Thanks

I am in New Zealand, my GF lives in another country, and my account was suspended for this reason, I just wanted to check it was Betfair's official line, and not just the idea of one customer service agent.

It seemed suspect that i got this suspension the very next day after i wrote to them complaining about  what they have done with my other account, almost like someone was just too precious and trying to punish me for daring to question them.

If she's using your account to make bets nobody will give a damn, but if she's using it to avoid paying PC's you will be hung drawn and quartered, that's the basis of your question I assume?

I think the official line is that nobody else can use your account, I can't really see the bit that say's "they are fine with it".

It is only for betting, and she loses plenty

The bit where in their terms they don't say they will suspend your account if a third party uses it, they just say it is your sole responsibility, this is where i think they suggest they are fine with it.

They accept no liability whatsoever if you lose money from your account regardless of how it disappears (third party with or without your express permission).

I had my brother log in for me a while back (I'm in Canada and he's in the UK) but it was only because I was having issues logging on here (he could log on fine in England). At the time I actually told Betfair that he'd logged in as me for testing purposes and they didn't say anything at all.
