Inrunning-Do horses trade shorter than in the past

I don't do horses, but if the answer is yes then the reason could be greater competition, all the sharks wanting a piece of the meat gobbling the price down, then what used to be 10 gubbings at 1.1 per 110 races could become say 11 gubbings. Then the layers get greedy and put up 1.11 and the price corrects for a while.

i have observed this as well, too many in-running punters trying to get a piece of the pie.. yesterday was a nightmare for them.. i think there 5-6 sub-1.1 gubbing

Trevh...why you think it greater competition?  sounds like their less layers

Although there are clusters of Gubbings on the whole there are now significantly fewer horses being turned over having matched significant volumes at short prices because of the cross-matcher.

Laying horses at short prices is very much my thing and has been for a few years, so far this year I've matched just over half a million in running lays at short prices on horses with a total stakes over £4 million - so I should know.

Are you placing lays before they go IR or after ?

aye robot - has the market changed much in your opinion since July 18th?

I doesn't look like it to me, certainly nothing dramatic. It's not impossible that there might have been slight effects but really it's too short a time period to say anything about in any case as normal variation would obscure any small underlying trend. Any changes due to PC2 would likely benefit most remaining players anyway so I doubt that than anyone who's still in the game will adversely effected.
