Has he blocked himself now after the "post deletion" incident from yesterday? In that thread he even was very close to "threatening" someone with "be cared ... ... careful what you post" and he, himself, dared accusing that someone of working for other site.

Over 16 hours and no single post, because blocked or not, one still has to see that he's posting and hijacking threads

If Betfair have something to say on any of the matters brought up on here, they should address them directly, rather than have one of their staffers fill up the forum. It is embarrassing.

Eddie,

I don't think it was anything too contentious, something about the way the life of a successful player would go now on here in terms of commission. I only skim read it, after all I wasn't expecting it to disappear before my very eyes. I think it was Duncan Disorderly who posted it, he might offer a better reprise, although he might have been banned.

Thanks, I thought it was about bff's identity, but that wasn't the case then.
Another forumite gave us bff's intitials a couple of weeks ago, at least he said they were.

Maybe so but he is a pain in the ar** when he is on the bottle.

What we need is an advanced block button, so that we can fine tune it for certain individuals. In bff's case allow him to be unblocked between 09.00 and 17.00 and then blocked from 17.00 to 09.00 next day.

How about it BF?

Slarty its more the case that I don't drink and you don't think, You have only posted 64 times in 7 years which leads anyone to assume its another account of a regular poster, my moneys on el presidente as you share the same "self importance" profile but too cowardly to take on a poster that bites back.
Report Lori September 29, 2011 2:37 PM BST
slarti used to post a lot more than that before the forum revamp reset the count.
Report bf_fananatic September 29, 2011 2:45 PM BST
I can understand that some folk may get fed up with my constant posting and if the block button helps then thats ok for them, I don't personally block anyone because its free speech as long as it doesn't get too personal or abusive.

Possibly the fact that I am an intense personalty and always snowplough into matters can be annoying
and generally in life I do turn my motor down to accommodate others as its just as important to listen to others as it is to voice.

If you have no job then how are you providing for your young family that comes first ? I'm assuming you must be independently fairly well off, either that or your savings are keeping you afloat for now. Tell me to piss off if you think I'm prying.

i always get the impression that once you can make it full time, your life is made

We've been through this before. As I said to you a few days ago, it's hard work making a living on Betfair. You don't suddenly discover some simple, magical 'money machine'. And, as I said before too, money isn't everything.

Report mythical prince September 29, 2011 11:34 PM BST
I wouldn't say that once you make it full-time your life is made.

professional gambling is a very lonely, anti-social way to make a living.

there are plenty of better ways to make money without the inherent risks.

I don't think most people even gamble to make money, they gamble for the buzz.
a professional gambler might say differently, but most professional gamblers
have more than enough intelligence that they could make just as much money
doing something else without the risk involved.

some pros complain about the new premium charges but most proffesional life careers are full of charges, I once made 10,000 gross profit in 2 weeks fitting camera systems, but by the time I payed my staff, my bills, my cleaner, my loans, I netted £600 before taxes!
Report Petrus Romanus September 29, 2011 11:34 PM BST
Paul if you want to minimise your losses on the day (and I'm not pushing you into this btw) the match currently in play in Chile between Huachipato and Santiago Morning (0-2_ has another goal in it in my opinion (watch it finish 0-2 now). Laying the score could claw back a couple of quid. Don't shoot me if you bet and it goes wrong.

one of my best friends had his own bookmakers, was doing very well for a time, then he had to pay winner after winner out and some punter placed a £10 tricast and won £10,000, his bills each week were over £500 a week to stay open and trading, he could borrow anymore as he had invested all his loans into the shop, he went under, paying %60 of winnings if over 250,000 would be gratefully accepted by most hard working business men.
