A message to the unenlightened, if a certain amount of big liquidity players that make consistent profits used the duckpond as well as betfair to aid there own profit margins, considering that the
duckpond is only less than 10% the size of betfair, the possible damage to the duckpond with its low commission rate and then depleted expected percentage of pounds placed into accounts thats netted in there goals will cause huge damage to the duckpond

Perhaps this is betfairs intention and how long can they look over the fence at the market leader making increased profits due to clever charges and aggressive growth expansion while they get hammered by the pros, perhaps its time to get your rose colored glasses tinted just that bit darker if yout expecting a rose smelling outcome
for the duckpond

Its amazing what plans stir and are hatched behind closed doors of the big enterprises

Would someone buy Betfair like BWin?

I wouldn't think purple is the main threat to betfair.They've had chances before and not taken them, no real sign it will be different this time.

Mtchbook are under new European owners, will targeting a different clientele to before and will presumably be making big changes to their (in my view) horrific website and the way it looks and operates. There's a big chance there for them and the timing of their takeover could well prove to have been very fortunate for them. If I was betfair I think I'd be more worried about them than purple. They seem to have cash to throw at it.
