General Betting

It is my understanding that Betfair explicitly ban/prevent/refuse to licecne API vendors from developing one-click betting software which allows customers to place a bet with a single click which is submitted to both the Betfair exchange and another exchange - for example the Duq. Presmably this is because they are frightened of liquidity leaking away. This strikes me as likely to be anti-competitive, even possibly against competitition law. However, I am not sure as such a case could be brought against a gambling company. HowevMy reaction is only a gut feeling as I am not a qualified lawyer. Is anybody suitably well-informed and experienced in this area to offer an opinion on this?

Apple restrict what apps they allow on their platforms and seem to be doing well.
Nobody is forced to use betfair. Customers are allowed to use other bookmakers/exchanges/spread betting companies to place bets if they want to. |

Obviously there is nothing to stop you developing a custom app for your own use that does this. That will be expensive though.
