I seen a match, to lay against a team winning was 4.7. If you stake £20 your liability was £74 and the payout was £94. How much does one win? and how much does one need to have in his account to cover the bet?

If you laid that you would lay a backers bet on that team for £ 20.  So if that team doesn't win youu win the backers stake which is £ 20.
You give the backer the odds of 4.7 ( 3.7/1) so if that team win you will lose £ 74.  £ 74 is therefore your liability and also the least amount you need to have in your account to lay that bet.
