I've suggested it, asking what %age of profits people wd be willing to live in the absence of commission. Suddenly everyone has gone quiet--or at least everyone on a site largely populated by traders.
I'm sure the biggest liquidity provider cd live w/ it. And so cd people like me, who arb, take positions and have made an effort to keep being able to get on elsewhere.

Well, my first suggestion was rising bet sizes w/ rising historical site profit, wh/ I presumed wd be surprisingly effective in equalising returns between punters given the way market-making algorithm work on the horses.
But technically this wd prob. be impossible.
Rising charges w/ rising historical site profits wd not reward players for the liquidity they provided and wd have much the same effect as the pc they've come up w/.
In some respects the idea doesn't seem much worse.

I want, no I need, some of that "MUG" classification please. Sure would make a nice, interesting change if all the " expert punters" on here suddenly started claiming that after all they were always just "MUGS".

I would like the option of either paying via the current commission structure or paying a monkey upfront each month to use the site commission-free.
As I'm on 4% commission, £6,000/year would roughly equal what I am currently paying. The difference with an upfront payment would be that, as a gambler with no interest in going all-green, I would punt vastly more money on here as so many more prices would become value without commission.

I don't think anywhere near enough on here would have your apparent confidence in their betting strategies/skills for that idea ever to work. I sort of like it though.

Keep the current structure just as it is, but offer an upfront payment in the smallprint as an alternative for those who want it.
I'm only advocating it as an alternative.Keep the current structure just as it is, but offer an upfront payment in the smallprint as an alternative for those who want it.
