Why do you need more than one username feck?
Even more pathetic is you agreeing with your other username/s. Really sad. |
By:
At the risk of being well off the mark, here goes......
Personally I don't care how many usernames Feck has. Perhaps he only has the one and a few guessers are summarising. Anyways, if I put up a thread entitled 'Feck', he is more than willing to answer any query/question I may have. I'm sure Feck doesn't need my back up as he can handle himself against clowns like framed etc. PS I don't lick @rse, I just like true punters, who are becoming more thinner on the ground each year. If you want multiple usernames, try horseracing, it's like the film 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' Just to add one more point, ANYBODY on this thread would gladly swap bank books with Feck. PS If you're looking in Feck, surley my post entitles me to some of your ratings. ![]() ![]() |

Feck can't reply just now stewarty so has asked US to do so on his behalf. You wouldn't want any of his ratings after yesterday and, after missing the first winner today due to a phone call, it looks like he's headed for more of the same.

Truly pathetic having more than one username.

Feck is not the type to hide behind another username. Imo, he's just amusing himself or has another reason.

The idea has been passed to betfair and they are looking at it. Maybe if some of those who claimed they were premium charged purely because of sequences, or even those who fear this effect, would state their case on this thread it might help the cause a bit.

Which one of your aliases passed it on and are they all in full agreement with this move?

"They are looking at it"
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have seen dozens of suggestions mentioned on various forums, especially on poker, where we were told it was something that was being looked in to...it goes without saying nothing ever happened. |

Why would they even entertain it??? People deluded if they think the charge was brought in to do anything other than inflate profits for the ipo...

Indeed turtle.
It took them a year to change back from the ridiculous 5 seaters to the 6 seaters. Still no waiting list, friends list, decent chat window, player location, etc. |
By:
maybe there's more chance of them listening to feck (2%?) than fll (5%) imo...
By:
4.2% atm.
Have played a fair bit of poker though. |
By:
If feckwit is genuinely on 2% then I guess he's one of those who would be the butt of the following old chestnut.
How do you win a small fortune on betfair? Start with a large one. |
By:
You don't need a big starting bank to get on 2%, value is everything.
By:
I didn't say you did.
I just said feckwit would need a very big bank to get 2% |

Eejit's blog The idea has been passed to betfair and they are looking at it. Maybe if some of those who claimed they were premium charged purely because of sequences, or even those who fear this effect, would state their case on this thread it might help the cause a bit. I'm currently on 22.16% Total Charges Generated (more actually paid). Does this suggestion mean I would get my commission charges rebated against previously paid premium charges until I reach 20% again? If that's the case, I'm all for it of course. Last time I paid PC was January, which was about £4k. It does raise another question though. Would you still get commission points? I've always said you should get points for paying PC for every 10p paid, just like with commission. That would take a lot of the incentive out of (legitimately) avoiding PC. |
By:
Investor, there'd be no reason why you wouldn't get the commission points for the normal commission. You're being rebated overpaid pc's. The condition that you must first pay the overcharge in future commission before it's rebated is merely a way of preventing fraud.

It wouldn't cost them much and would remove the stupidity where A places a series of level stake bets and B places the identical bets in reverse chronological order and one is charged more than the other. It would also create a bit of goodwill, put a lot of minds at rest as well as anti-pc propoganda. |
By:
It's not the cost to implement it but the loss of money to betfairs pockets that I'm referring to...PC has been a PR disaster from the outset and it hasn't bothered them so far , they even moved the goalposts to catch more punters in the nets and by punters I mean proper punters not bot-men..as I said they tried to excuse the PC by saying it was needed to raise revenue to attract new customers when in fact it was needed to bolster figures, now the company is being exposed to the markets and struggling they are not going to reverse the PC unless it is in their benefit financially...
By:
I was meaning it wouldn't cost them much money.

agree PC has been a PR disaster from the outset, and it is so complicated, everything on here should be kept simple. With trading results due end of the month, and a share price less than half what it was when they started trading last Oct., it's not looking good at the moment. Something needs to change....

Giving rebates would make it a lot fairer but it would be too costly imo. A significant amount of pc will come from people who pay it for a short time, and a large percent of regular payers would eventually be rebated when their edges fade a little or they change their strategy. I hope I'm wrong but also I cant believe that they haven't looked at this before.
By:
Scrapping it completely would be fairer still.
By:
Now, now turtles. That's just not true, is it?
By:
Yes, it is. Treating people identically - what could possibly be fairer

pc tax fair,of course it is where else can you have a bet and have, over 20percent stopped,as we have all ..seen the site has loads more dough floating about since the brain men introduced the tax.
By:
identical treatment isn't the same as fair treatment
By:
your right its very fair that betfair tax some customers 20 percent more than anyone else, must be why the firm is .doing so well.

Where are Eddie The Eagle and Inner City Sumo when you need them? Both claim to either have been hit by the sequential effect or at least live in fear of it. ETE raised a valid point re sudden increase in stakes and ICS points out that layers of long shots are particularly prone to long winning runs that could result in endless weeks of pc charges before the inevitable loser(s) wipe out almost all of the profits. You'd think betfair's city boys would be particularly sympathetic to ICS's view as they once worked in an industry that goes through cycles of making profits year after year before they inevitably get found out for the guessers they are.
In the absence of rebates it's entirely possible that someone could pay ALL of their gross profits in premium charges. While that sort of con is probably fairly common in the city it has no place on what should be a betting site. What I'm suggesting doesn't even give true compensation as the person who has overpaid only gets it back in the form of a credit against future normal commission charges. Not much good if the losing streaks put him off betting forever. |

Feck, why do you need to use two accounts?

I don't. This is my daughter's account. I'm hopefully winning a few quid for her.

i hope your not trying to offset any pc there feck!!

I'm not iz.

Couldn't blame you if you were, when a rip off tax like this is imposed people have every right to try and dodge it.
