I have tried this before but used 5 banks, it was successful, I managed to treble my initial stake, but it was more or less a trial run and I only used £40 for it, this time I have increased my initial amount and nwill use 7 banks. Same rules apply as before, 1 bet at a time, from singles and upwards, bank one I can place any odds but from banks 2-7 I must use odds of no worse than 2/5 (which usually only cover winning stakes back) most bets I shall place though will be around 1/2 ... 4/7 ... 8/15 or if I find any bets I like with larger odds then they shal lbe taken as well. 7 losing bets in a row wil lend the challenge and the challenge is to get in profit before I do get 7 losing bets in a row, but the odds are very high on losing 7 in a row. We shall see how this goes, the main thing I need to make this work is DICIPLINE !!!

Rooting for an everton/southampton double for you today
Catflappo, i've had to stop the challenge. Money i'd invested in a career and lifestyle move semmingly has been lost. On top of this the cost of decorating/DIY and i'm out over 6k in past week . Neither my wife or I have work as we were totally invested in another move abroad.

Schalke, dont go throwing thousands at this just because you want to prove a point, it makes no sense.
Your own stubborness is your own un-doing, this method is destined to fail long-term.
Just be honest with yourself, take the current relatively small loss overall and walk away wiser from the experience.
A winning 7th bet will not help you long-term, it will just kid you into thinking your still doing something productive, deep down you know this is delusional.

Some good advice above, now risking £1665 to recover previous losses is not a winning strategy, I at least hope all the Schalke supporters have learnt that. The only way this strategy can succeed is if the bettor has an infinite betting bank and can get bets matched for infinite sums, which of course is impossible.
At level stakes Schalke would probably be showing a small loss at this point, but if he had strived to obtain 5 or 10% better odds on all his bets he would be in profit, the bank would be growing, and that awful losing feeling in the gut would never be able to show it's face.

do you have the ££ for bet 7 schalke? if not just call it a day man, you have demonstrated the system is flawed even if the bet wins...
people really should not be allowed to fund a bookie account 'on credit'...

next bet: (Snooker) Lisowski to bt Fu @ 11/8 - £60.81 to win £83.61
Lisowski in my opinion is a future World Champion, and I think this season will be his break through, he is a fantastic player ... meanwhile this will be Marco Fu's first match of the season, didn't even enter the Australian, Lisowski has had two 5-0's in last two matches and is in great form !! Little bit of a risk this bet, but at those odds Lisowski can't be refused !!
From about page 40 of this thread.
Look at the reasons why you placed this bet, all of which are sound reasons for placing a bet:
1) You may know more about this player than the market-makers, coming from a background within the sport and probably being able to judge which up and coming players have the most potential, maybe even knowing the players, their temprament and how they will react under pressure. As a competitor yourself you are in a much better position to assess these factors than an odds compiler like myself.
2) You can see the recent form of the player is strong, this is information widely available of course and will surely be factored into the price but encouraging none the less.
3) As you have pointed out, this is Fu's first match of the season and although anyone can see this, once again you know the impact that a lack of competitive play can have (plus it may lead to other factors, Fu may have been injured or not practicing when he missed Australia and could be even more rusty than expected). Once again, your experience as a snooker player puts you at an advantage.
Therefore you had thought this bet through, used your knowledge and come to a conclusion that Lisowski was more likely to win than the odds suggested. OK, you didnt take the best price which is essential (think of it like this, if I back 6/4 instead of 11/8, if the bet wins I win an extra 12.5p for every pound placed FOR EXACTLY THE SAME RESULT! Taking the best price is literally free money against not). But in this bet, maybe you didn't realise but you hit upon how a successful punter will place bets, hence Lori followed you in!
If you have any money left, forget about systems, and analyse all your bets like this and place it to level stakes. The most ridiculous thing about your staking plan is that it makes you treat the £2 bets as if they don't matter, when in fact they are just as vital as the £60 bet. I bet you wouldn't be backing Nizhny Novgorod DNB if you were on bank 6.

I'd say he does. But don't think he will the final one.
As Treemendous says above... some of his bets were well thought out and he did well from them. But in the last week or so you could see the same old Schalke return, just piling into anything. The pace he was putting some of them up indicates he was betting on the next "half decent" bet rather than thinking it through. As with pretty much every other thread he's started the pattern is the same.
It is a shame really. But he just doesn't listen to so much good advice that others have taken the time to put up. Ah well.
Best of luck Schalke.

There won't be a bank 7 bet IMO. Good job too. Maybe he can see what we've all been telling him now?
Probably not though, expect him back in about 6 months with another hair-brained 'system'.

Schalke: "Going well thanks, despite all the knockers" Mrs Schalke: "Well, I should hope so the amount of time you spend on it" Schalke: "I just need to you sign this loan agreement so I can place £1660 on my next bet" Mrs Schalke: "Whattttt.?? You told me you were betting £2 per bet" Schalke: "Well, mostly yes, but the next bet is £1660 - it's my system. I am £500 up when I win the next bet and since I have lost six in a row it's bound to win. Not only that but I'm going to use my best discipline to make my selection, I'm thinking maybe Russian football or something like that" Mrs Schalke: "You've been using martingale again, haven't you?" Schalke: "NOO!!! It's not martingale, and I can prove it because I'm not betting on coin tosses...." Mrs Schalke: "Right (sigh), here we go again, no more Internet for 6 months and I'm taking the credit card back. I wish I'd listened to Mrs Lori, she said you were up to your old tricks again. If only the perfect bet existed we'd all be millionaires, but of course gambling doesn't work like that. To risk bank 7 (£1665?) on one unknown outcome (a guess) after betting to make small amounts is absolutely crazy in terms of strategies.

Good idea with the snooker Scalkes I think you'd do so much better if you stuck to that. Concentrate on the bets themselves rather than some dumb staking system. Bet selection is everything and value is everything, I know you hate the word but it's true. You've proved you can't pick winning bets - no one can! - go for value, see if you can do that.
How about "The (c)Schalke04(c) snooker-only, level stakes, value seeking challenge"?

so having taken 3 months to place 291 bets for net zero, most of which were 2 quid steaks, you are now going to wait another 3 months to place a 1600 bet to prove that your system works? As many posters have suggested. win or lose on bet 7, its clear that this is not, and will not work long term.
as catfleppo says, snooker is your game and you should focus on that. i would love to see you do a pure snooker challenge. not only because your rationale on snooker is instructive, but also because i think you would make money.
