How do we know bookies are not ripping us off on rule 4s? Many a time I have won a decent sum from a horses multi bet and I am underpaid while they quote "rule 4". On their screens behind the counter they can see the horse that was withdrawn, what time it was withdrawn at and the rule 4. However, this information is never displayed to the public via their website (or is it in any cases)? Surely they are keeping this information from the public for a reason?
What is not true in this post? Note the last line is a question not a statement.
Back to the point, is there anywhere that we can find this information, ie time of withdrawal and price at the time? The problem is that bookies A could be offering 4/1 early price on a horse that is 6/1 in other places, so instead of getting hit with a 10p in the pound r4 we are hit with 20p simply because bookie A is giving a terrible price on the horse. I am sceptical that if I did win a large amount from a multiple bet the bookie could just price down the horse, making the rule 4 more costly for the punter and we have no proof or idea if this has happened!

When you have a bet, take a screenshot of the full prices for that race, at the end of the race, work out what the RULE 4 is if any (Calculator on most firms website)
If you can't be bothered to do this, take what you are given

You should place your multiple bet on betfair. Much better returns overall at SP, though bet_red best odds guarantee might make a difference (restricted to certain races).

Both books are overbroke but you would have been better off backing both remaining horses with Bookie A
