What is not true in this post? Note the last line is a question not a statement.
Back to the point, is there anywhere that we can find this information, ie time of withdrawal and price at the time? The problem is that bookies A could be offering 4/1 early price on a horse that is 6/1 in other places, so instead of getting hit with a 10p in the pound r4 we are hit with 20p simply because bookie A is giving a terrible price on the horse. I am sceptical that if I did win a large amount from a multiple bet the bookie could just price down the horse, making the rule 4 more costly for the punter and we have no proof or idea if this has happened! |

Is it applied to each bookmakers early price and not industry SP?

You seem to think the world is against you SIMPLE SOLUTION When you have a bet, take a screenshot of the full prices for that race, at the end of the race, work out what the RULE 4 is if any (Calculator on most firms website) If you can't be bothered to do this, take what you are given Result below is taken from a major bookmakers website which would suggest before the new market was reformed at 11.34.55, athwaab was trading between 15/8 and 9/4 deduction in the pound. Between 9:00:00 - 11:34:55 1st 1. Rocker 5/4 F 2nd 2. Billy Red 7/2 2F NR 4. Athwaab |

You should place your multiple bet on betfair. Much better returns overall at SP, though bet_red best odds guarantee might make a difference (restricted to certain races).

Let me give you an example
BOOKMAKER A prices a three runner race Horse 1: Evs Horse 2: 9/4 Horse 3: 9/4 BOOKMAKER B prices same race Horse 1: Evs Horse 2: 6/4 Horse 3: 11/4 You take the 11/4 with BOOKMAKER B but then Horse 2 is withdrawn, the original prices need to be adjusted BOOKMAKER A prices a three runner race Horse 1: Evs (2.00) (New Price 1.70) Horse 2: 2/1 (3.00) (NON RUNNER 30p R4) Horse 3: 5/2 (3.50) (New Price 2.75) BOOKMAKER B prices same race Horse 1: Evs (2.00) (New Price 1.60) Horse 2: 6/4 (2.50) (NON RUNNER 40p R4) Horse 3: 11/4 (3.75) (New price 2.65) Both books are overbroke but you would have been better off backing both remaining horses with Bookie A Sorry if maths are out but done it quickly in my head |
